Quiet place in the middle of the village. Although in the evenings we heard local music and drum sounds was the place quite quiet and sounds were enjoyable. We could take sunbath on the grass in private place after gorilla trecking. Three-course dinners and breakfast were good. The best soups I ate in Uganda! The staff were very helpful.

It was difficult to go with the vehicle

The staff is very helpful, very friendly and you feel welcome. Food is good. Really nice showers with hot water. Electricity is not always on.

It is hard to valuate this hotel. Pictures look great. In reality it is nice - but it looks worn out in reality. But the people are so nice that I am sorry to point this out. Our stay was also influenced by the fact that we had to get an additional room at the extra cost of USD 40 per night for our son - even though we had booked a room for the three of us, and even had asked specifically, whether it was correct that he could stay in our room. Thus value for money was hardly what we think of this place. In relation to prices elsewhere i Uganda it seems expensive. But this might be because of the location.

Perfect place for a Bwindi Buhoma Gate and personal very helpful to arrange any thing you need

it was the best decision to book this lodge! the staff is so friendly! Paul helped me with everything. they cleaned my shoes after the gorilla hike. they arranged a mechanic for the motorcycle. they welcomed me with a tasty mango juice. they had delicious meals and really good beds to sleep. the rooms were big and they even had warm water in the shower. so nice after the long hike. you can even get a hot water bottle for your bed. i was even accompanied by Paul to the UWA gate and he cared about me to get a proper check in for the gorilla hike. when I had a wish they fulfilled it before I could even mention it. I also booked a batwa community tour and the staff arranged it for me. and the most important thing is the view. I’m a hiker and I know good views. but with a view from your room directly on to the jungle there is nothing more you could wish for. if I had more time I would have just been staying at bwindi forest lodge all the time. if you come to buhoma I recommend this lodge to everybody. so that you believe me that this is real and no advertisement I could just mention that there sometimes is a problem with the electricity. so make sure to bring a power bank. but I think you can be thankful for even having a light in your room most of the time. and if there is sometimes no electricity I think that is not too bad.

If you want kind and hospitable people, do not look any further! The bed was comfortable and the view amazing. Paul, Nelson and their team made us feel like home. They even put together a delicious meal very late at night for us! It is also 5 minutes from the Gorilla tracking, so location is perfect.

location is perfect and the staff was really helpful. They indicated us how to proceed with the permits and take care of us before and during our stay.

The lodge is really nice but the hot water and wifi were not working most of the time and there were power cut (at least they have solar panel to have the basic light). The staff is really nice and the food was delicious however is overpriced. 12$ for a dinner without meet, it is a totally SCAM (it is not buffet). We paid one night because there was not other options but you can find on the main road super nice, clean and cheap local restaurants. The day we went to see the Gorilla, we arrange the breakfast at 7 and we were waiting to have everything almost half hour. So we end it up rushing to finish and run to the Gorilla trekking.

The staff here were the absolute best! They gave such a warm welcome when we first arrived and we had some really nice conversations during our time here. The rooms were clean and comfortable and each room has their own front patio with a nice view towards the forest. The price in comparison to other accommodation in the area was extremely good and our experience far exceeded our expectations. It is also located a few minutes walk from the national park entrance, so the location is very convenient.

The location is perfect if you've booked the Buhoma gorilla trek, it's a 3 min walk from the lodge to the gate and meeting point.

The electricity would come off and on, they do have a generator so they can turn it on if necessary but it always came back on pretty quickly. I wish there were more hook and cost hangers but we made due.

Very nice and clean rooms. The personnel was super super welcoming and friendly. They helped us in managing everything. The position is perfect, you can reach the starting point for the trekking by foot. The food was very good also.

The only good thing about this place is the view.

The rooms are dirty, water was brown with metallic smell. In my opinion, the bed was made a few weeks before we received the room, since we found a big spider, a spider web and two dead hornets in our bed. Wifi didnt work and the food was horrible. At check out, they even tried to make us pay the commission THEY need to pay for booking.com Stay away!!

There are surprisingly friendly staffs and the best chef in bwindi. His cooking was so delicious that we wanted to stay longer. He does every request smoothly and perfectly.

It is noisy from side to side because it is in the center of the village. The barber shop across plays music all day. But it's quiet at night. We liked this accommodation, but we couldn't overcome the noise and had to leave. And the water smells a little. No wifi..

The manager gave us a lot of hits and was all the time available. Food was great, the rooms very clean. Only pay attention, that the location isn‘t exactly marked on the right position in the online map, but it look us only a few minutes to find it.

I had a wonderful time in Bwindi Forest Lodge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The chef prepared delicious dinner for me. The Manager brought me to the briefing point, organized a local tour for me and arranged a transport for my journey to Masaka. The room was very clean and the breakfast also very good. So I had unforgettable experience with the gorilla tracking. Thank you so much for all!!

We had an absolute fantastic stay here. Everybody was super friendly and even though we have organized the Gorilla Trekking independently they made sure we got the group we wanted by going to the center with us in the morning. An absolute joy to be your guest - Keep up the authentic friendly way!!!
