Room was very spacious and comfortable. Location, amenities and staff were all faultless. Only wish it was colder and we were able to enjoy a bottle of wine by the fire!!

Lovely bathroom with huge bath, shower and separate toilet. Nice garden view. Comfortable bed and cushions. Very clean. A mistake was made on our booking but it was rectified with an apology and a bottle of wine so this did not distract from our stay in any way - in fact the staff went above and beyond to sort for us.

Breakfast was extremely poor quality - in both ingredients and cooking.

We booked a gardensuite in view of a lunch in la Colombe next door. The suite was large with even a fire place and a nice terrace. We had a lovely breakfast near the pool.

Be mindful, steep way up! The view from the gardensuite is nice but rather limited.

The receptionist on arrival was extremely unwelcoming, didn’t greet us or even look up, he just pushed a paper across the desk to be signed.

The hotel is located in the midst of Silvermist Wine Estate (Constantia), not to be recommended for people wanting to visit Cape Town and spend the evening there. The only reason to come here, in my opinion, is to have easy accommodation after an opulent dinner at the fancy "La Colombe" restaurant which is right next door. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The rooms are spacious but not very modern and would definitely need to be freshened up. Breakfast is very poor, compared to simular hotels I stayed at during my trip. The gardens and pool area are nice but seem pretty neglected, not very well kept indeed.

Wonderful room within lovely grounds

Could do with an iron in the room, if you’re visiting La Colombe next door you don’t want to turn up with creases shirts/dresses.

It was right next to La Colombe restaurant. The grounds were nice with plenty of great views of the vineyards. The room was spacious and clean. Security was very good on the property. Breakfast was also good and on a sunny morning you can eat outside beside the pool only steps away from the room.

Fortunately, when we were there the weather was perfect, but if it wasn't you might have difficulty with controlling the temperature.

Séjour inoubliable, dans un endroit exceptionnel. Qualité de la literie, très jolie chambre avec une décoration coloniale soignée. L’hôtel en soi est magnifiquement décoré et le jardin rempli de roses et de jasmin… Le petit déjeuner est incroyable, avec des efforts de présentation et des mets raffinés. Et que dire du personnel, aux petits soins et d’une gentillesse…. Hôtel également idéalement placé à deux pas du centre ville et des restaurants. A recommander à 300% !

The breakfast was fabulous, prepared by a very friendly lady called Rivonia. Wood was provided for the fireplace and we could enjoy the fire while it was raining outside.

Everything was perfect.

A beautifully appointed cabin with views to live for!! Bonus fireplace for the cold weather at the time and the little mini kitchen is a bonus 9or would have been had we known upfront). Breakfast was the weak point of the stay. We did not unfortunately get to attend the breakfast room so the comment is limited to the continental breakfast delivered to our room (which we didn't ask for but was very nice to receive as a thought/effort). Our second stay at Silvermist and cannot wait for the 3rd!

The suite was fully kitted out and very clean.

The cold tap for the bathtub was not working, so had to wait for hot water to cool off a but before we could bath..

I previously stayed in a unit facing the mountains, which is my favorite. This time round my accommodation was one of the suites at the back of the reception area with a view on the garden and trees, walking distance from the pool and restaurant. I loved the size of the room, tasteful and clean and the fireplace was perfect in the cold rainy winter Cape weather. The sound of the birds and view of the trees are beautiful. Lindsay was very helpful with all our requests and went our of her way to accommodate us. I hope to be back again soon to enjoy one of the units with those breathtaking views of the mountains again.

Nothing serious, but there are some steep roads and sharp corners on your way to the top of the mountain if you need to get to reception or the restaurant for breakfast if now in walking distance. The entrance also have a steep uphill, so ensure that your car is capable (or maybe the driver should have proper skills), to navigate those. :-) Gratefully Uber knows how to deliver food there!

Spacious and clean room with fireplace for the cold. Warm blanket was also switched on.

The hotel was great but the La Colombe restaurant was a dissapointment.
