The hotel itself was lovely and staff friendly and helpful. A very comfortable stay and even a clear movie channel.

The hotel promised me a shuttle from the airport and told me someone would be waiting for me with a sign. I confirmed this before leaving as I'm a solo female traveller and I didn't feel safe arriving in Luanda without a shuttle arranged. Needless to say I arrived, there was no shuttle, no answer from the hotel and no money in any ATM machines. I had to take a taxi on my own with no money and no phone reception, completely at the mercy of the driver, in a country I've never been to and don't understand the language. Gratefully he dropped me off and accepted the 15 EUR and R100 I had in my purse but it could have turned out very differently. This was really unacceptable for me and put my safety at risk. This is the reason for the low rating.

The entire hotel is beautifully decorated with tons of local art (which is also for sale). Staff super friendly. Room comfortable and clean. Has a very cool roof top bar (wasnt open but could order drinks from kitchen and sit up there to enjoy the view). Location also excellent - within walking distance / 5min drive from top restaurants

The staff was incredibly helpful with transportation and other concierge issues.

the night we arrived there was a party at the roof top what was not letting us to sleep properly as I could understand every single song how loud it was. I am not sure it’s good idea to do party at night when you have visitors coming for sleep with kids and not for this party…

Fantastic atmosphere created by the original art that is all around the hotel (and you can purchase the artworks!). Staff was helpful and easy to communicate with; they even create a WhatsApp group for each guest. Free car service around the Ilha was very convenient (but be sure to request in advance, especially at meal times). Room was perfectly clean with fresh white walls and linens. Bathroom was great with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Roof terrace was nice with wonderful views of the city, but I stayed Monday-Wednesday so there were no events/music those nights. Living/dining room was welcoming and I had a few nice conversations with other guests. I'm very happy that I chose this place.

Literally the only problem with this hotel was the uncomfortable bed mattress; I could feel the boxsprings. (Everything else was great.)

There are missing facilities like trash can in the room and telephone to call the reception.
