The hotel was in the new nicest area of Birmingham, away from the city centre which is very unwelcoming and to be avoided other than to visit the civil rights institute and little else. There is a very nice shopping mall near the property (a few minutes by car) with good restaurants and shops (and it is safer than Birmingham, which isn't).

Nothing in particular. It's a practical hotel for a stopover. Rooms were spacious and comfy without being luxurious.

The bed linen was not clean and fresh we had to request new clean linen for the bed.

Coffee pot not working. Carpet in the room needed to have been cleaned several stains. Room just didn't smell fresh like it had been recently cleaned or deodorizer. Closed up smell. Decor in the lobby & hallways was attractive.

The location was just ok.

This is a very understaffed and run down property! the front desk is so rude and accused me of lying about the housekeeping service...meaning there was NONE for 4 days. I mentioned it every morning and every evening showing them photos of the room. I finally had to call the head manager. She called me back and gave me a small discount for the 4 days. FOR $189 PER NIGHT, this is the biggest rip off ever. Not mention, my room was very worn with torn carpet. So VERY disapointed!
