turns out the room I booked with a ocean view did not have elevator access. I would suggest adding a question to the booking if elevator access is a need.

The room was awesome, large and comfortable!!. We asked to extend our stay and they were very happy to do that for us . Will be coming back 😉

Wonderful place to stay, clean, with great staff and breakfast. I want to complement the management for allowing me to change one of my days due to a medical problem with my mom. They worked with me and didn't charge me for the lost day. Thank You

The only slight complaint I had was the bed was very hard. The rest of the stay was wonderful.

Location was great. Right on the beach. A little difficult to get to because of sand drifts (and new knees), we assumed this was a seasonal issue. The breakfast was wonderful and convenient. They have an ice machine for coolers along with a machine for drink ice.

Hubby complained that the bed was too soft, I disagreed. Elevator was very slow, so we took the stairs most of the time.

The location was wonderful. It was my second time at the location.

The reservation was booked online. We arrived on Friday evening, and no one mentioned there would be repairs that made a substantial amount of noise. The front desk waited until Monday morning to call and inform us. It was supposed to be a relaxing getaway with no plans of going anywhere local. It was difficult to relax with the noise. Expensive for what was going on. 😔

The location was excellent. The view from the room was breathtaking. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel amenities were great.

No housekeeping. Breakfast could be improved. Otherwise highly recommended.

I am really disappointed with this property. My husband and I were excited to stay here in order to take part in Christmas fun in Manteo with our little one. Due to the threat of inclement weather (wich was imminent), we decided to cancel, as we did not want to have to drive back home in torrential rains with our baby. We understood the cancelation policy, but was hoping that customer service (ie safety of guests) would have been prioritized over money, but that was not the case. We ended up having to forfeit the total amount for the one night we had intended on staying for. What really angers us is that they denied any knowledge of inclement weather conditions when the heavy rains predicated for the day we were to leave was all over the news: WITN---Thursday: Heavy rain arrives through the morning and by lunch, some could be hearing thunder. Most see around an inch of rain through the day with heavier rain expected closer to the coast. Heavy rain in these areas could linger into the afternoon pushing rainfall amounts closer to 2″ along and east of US Highway 17. Cleary this property puts customer service last, as well as a family's decision to cancel a trip out of concerns of safe travel. When we plan this trip for next month, this property will not get our business.
