Awesome gettaway

The property is aesthetically pleasing. Great view of the pond and tree line and neighboring property with there field and pond. The age and simplicity of the cabin made it very easy to relax. We enjoyed the fire place and the hot tub and slept very comfortably in the king size bed. We enjoyed reading and I caught a lot of fish . It was very fun. The guest book exalted the Lord Jesus Christ which we were grateful for with scripture verses that were very fitting for the beautiful setting they we were in.

What a perfect little getaway to enjoy a relaxing time celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary away the hectic everday norm. Cozy and romantic. Cabin stocked nicely and any shopping needs very close by so next time no need to overpack as we did. Our host, Lisa was great and very responsive. Looking forward to our next stay.

I really hate to say anything negative about this property, but trying to be helpful. So, the oven was broken. Now seeing a review from this year that says it was broken for someone else's stay. There is a microwave if you get there and the oven is broken. But, the big things is the cats and dog. If you love cats, this is your place. They hang on the porch and will walk into the cabin if you aren't careful. Followed us around meowing when tried to take a walk at dusk. Then an older dog showed up in the a.m. and he fought with one of the cats. So again, if down with pets, you got it here. If you have cat allergies, better come prepared.

This cabin was better than expected. The pictures and reviews truly capture all the details. A wonderful blend of old and new. We went there searching for peace and tranquility and left totally recharged. We will definitely be back and extend our week out a few more nights. So blessed to have found this cabin and experience it's magic!

This was our 2nd time at the cabin for my husband's birthday(we missed out on last year bc it was already booked 😢). It is just so cozy and relaxing. My husband is originally from WV, I was raised at the Jersey Shore, where we live now. He likes to get away from the hustle and bustle of the summer shore life. This is the perfect place to do it. The cabin is back down a dirt road away from it all but close enough to town to grab some things you may need or grab a bite to eat. I enjoyed my mornings on the porch, drinking my coffee with the 2 kitties that hang around the cabin. It has great antiquish decor with a touch of modernism. The bed and linens were super comfy and the hot tub was a nice modern touch. If you are looking to get away from your hectic life for a little while, this is the perfect place to do it.

With better amenities and maintenance the overall would easily be a 4. The door can’t be latched and dead bolted at the same time. The oven door came apart when opened, husband is savvy with fixing things, put it back together. The fan timer in the bathroom is broken, you have to force turn it backwards. The appearance of the cabin is rustic and wonderful, the folding chairs at the kitchen table distract from that. A propane grill would be nice, had to clean out the charcoal grill before using. Loved the porch, loved the view. Fishing and boating was fun, a pier on the pond would be amazing. Enjoyed the wildlife. We had a fun, relaxing time!

We found our happy place!!!! The pictures do not do justice. The cabin is amazing! Our host Lisa was wonderful and so accommodating. The welcoming committee (Cats) which we so lovingly named "Ozzie and Harriet" were an added treat. We will be starting a new tradition and going back every year for our anniversary.

Our favorite place away from home!

We stayed in July 2023 - just my boyfriend, me and our dog. The cabin is totally amazing!! The craftsmanship that went into restoring it is very evident. They didn’t miss a thing. The way the new blends seamlessly with the old is very nicely done. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice. The outdoor fire pit area was great at night for roasting marshmallows and watching the fireflies. If I had one suggestion (and this is really nothing), it would be to have a larger fridge and kitchen sink. But again, the place was amazing so just a suggestion :) The 2 kitties that live there are very friendly and sweet although my dog disagrees lol! The owner was great and very responsive. Bring cat food and charcoal for the grill. We will be back!

Got to cabin flushed toilet it overflowed. Was told property manager was busy and keep plunging. After 40 minutes and several texts/ calls we decided to find a hotel. Packed everything back up in torrential rain. Not a great start . They did have someone come out the next day and fix septic problems. The experience could of been handled better for customer. Cat and kittens cute yet a challenge when traveling with a dog. Lighting inside cabin could be better. We wore headlamps when cooking and reading. Previous guests left burned logs in fireplace we had to clean out because it smelled bad. Try it is a Peaceful private location.

Absolutely loved it all the wife and i could talk about the whole time is we wpuld love to retire in a place like this

We just loved this historic log cabin! Perfect for couples looking for a relaxing vacation. A half mile drive down a gravel road bought us to this delightful cabin. Located in a quiet, wooded setting facing a pond. We loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs and just enjoying the quiet. The owners lovely home is about a 1/8 mile away. Far enough away that we had total privacy. The cabin is decorated with many rustic items. Such interesting details that are very charming. A big fireplace had all we needed to start a fire. Cabin was well stocked with towels, dish cloths, bath and kitchen soaps, dishes, pots and pans, and many other things. All we needed to bring was our clothes and personal items. The jacuzzi in the bath area was very nice and super clean. Everything about the cabin and grounds are so clean and well kept! A charming place to stay for anyone looking to stay in a real log cabin. The surrounding neighborhood is very well kept with many lovely homes. A beautiful, quiet, and well maintained area. Cabin is an easy driving distance to many attractions, dining options, and shopping. Highly recommend this cabin!

Quiet, relaxing, surrounded by woods with a pond… just an excellent little place to unwind.

The cabin and property is absolutely gorgeous. The pond and frogs were good for the soul. I brought my kayak and my puppy and I floated along the pond. Lots of fish for fishing. The Hot Tub was very relaxing. The fireplace was like a post card. They also had a fire pit to enjoy s’mores. There was also the racetrack down the street and different shops and restaurants not to far away. I would definitely recommend this place and we hope to be back soon.

I could sit here and write forever the cabin the decor all the extras she puts in the candles the hot tub, she has thought of everything for the perfect get away and now this visit we had two house kitties the finishing touch to a perfect weekend..
