Jul 2022Wonderful log cabin home on crystal clear Skaneateles lake. Paul’s cabin is beautiful and very well equipped. We especially enjoyed the brand new smoker. The house comes with just about everything you need. Would definitely recommend 4-wheel drive and plan your groceries so you minimize trips in and out. You won’t want to leave the lake and the property!

Jul 2022What a magical cabin in the woods! We were so impressed with the indoor and outdoor living spaces. We spent most of our time outside, on the deck, on the dock, at the fire pit, in the hot tub and, of course, on the lake. Driveway was definitely a challenge. Also have to mention the property manager, Mike. Mike went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect!

Aug 2021We stayed in Paul’s Cabin late July 2021 and had an amazing stay. Our kids absolutely loved the home and the privacy. We were only 20 minutes from downtown Skaneateles and were able to bop in and out as we saw fit. We made use of the dock for swimming everyday. The clear blue water is something I haven’t seen outside of a tropical location. We fished, played cards, snorkeled, boated and relaxed! Sirius radio was great as it was setup for 3 locations. We could listen to music while in the hot tub or out on the deck or in the house - individually or all at once. The house was clean and well described in the listing. My only advice would be to make sure you have a vehicle that is 4 wheel drive as the road in was steep at parts. We will be considering staying in this house again next year or possibly reserving the sister home next door.

Jul 2022We stayed for a week over the 4th of July. The place was absolutely amazing. Very relaxing and a ton of space. We had three adults and three children, plenty of room for everyone. Paul the owner was very nice, just and outstanding guy. Mike the property manager was very attentive, also a super nice guy. We will be back to stay again soon!

Oct 2020We stayed at Paul's Cabin and could not have been more pleased! It was perfect for two couples looking to have a break from the pandemic world. An amazing place to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. We were lucky to have perfect fall weather and peak leaf color too. We will be back!

Oct 2021We really enjoyed our stay at Paul’s cabin . We were really impressed by how clean all the sheets and towels were and the whole cabin. I’m fussy about that and they didn’t disappoint , and the views were amazing . we enjoyed the indoor and outdoor fires and the hot tub as it was cold during our stay .I highly reccomend Paul’s cabin it is a great place to get away .we will be planning another trip in the summer .the town is only a short drive away and it is full of all different shops and restaraunt s .Paul and mike are very easy to reach and always available if needed. The only thing I would say is they aren’t kidding when they reccomend a 4 wheel drive vehicle .we are very glad we took the pickup truck .

Jul 2021Well-appointed, comfortable log cabin on wooded private lot with direct access to the southern end of remarkably clear and clean Skaneateles Lake. Stairs to private swimming/sunbathing/fishing platform area directly on the lake with convenient adjacent dock and nearby mooring for a rental boat. Fire pit area overlooking the lake. Responsive, polite property manager. Four wheel drive a must for access to the lot. Our entire family enjoyed our stay.

Aug 2022This was our first family vacation since our children were little. The cabin was perfect for us. There was plenty of room to gather both inside and out. The trip down to and up from the lake was a bit challenging as was the drive in, but that said it was wonderful to have family time in a beautiful setting!

Sep 2021This is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature, with lovely decks and different sitting areas to hang out. Lake was wonderful, we swam and kayaked a little, as lake was a little rough. The kitchen was equipped with anything you could possibly need, best of all places we have stayed. But bring food etc in with you, because the winding gravel road in is a bit daunting! The town of Skaneateles is lovely.
We were two couples, and the only disappointment is that the bathroom for main floor rooms (one has two single beds, one has a double bed) has only sink, toilet and tub….no shower. You have to go down stairs for shower. The other double bed room is a mezzanine, quite nice, but not very private. The ground floor has single bedrooms and full bath, but seating for movie screen (movie videos provided) only has a sofa for 2 people, plus some small ottomans. OK for kids, not so good for two adult couples.
As a result we did not use that area at all, but very much enjoyed the living room with fireplace and all the outdoor areas.

Jul 2021The property is exactly as described. Very beautiful lake although it can be surprisingly rough so be flexible in your planning. We took a few enjoyable day trips hiking and mountain biking during our stay when the water was less than ideal for boating. The caretaker is very nice and flexible. Don't be put off by the arrival time/place. You will want him to lead you to the property. 4 wheel drive is a must have. Overall it was exactly what we were hoping for; time to relax and enjoy spending time with our kids.

Sep 2021The house was terrific for outdoor activities, we enjoyed our stay. The upstairs porch with the rocking chairs was a favorite spot of ours. As the other reviewers say it is really a good idea to get a 4 wheel drive.

Sep 2021Property was beautiful and we had an amazing time enjoying the whole house, outdoor spaces and amenities. Take the advice about the car you take (4 wheel drive) and navigating check in and the terrain getting in and out of the property seriously. Overall a wonderful stay!

Jun 2021Beautiful home, definitely recommend. Very cool layout with so many decks and levels. Awesome water frontage- 1 shared dock with adjoining property for boats and 1 private dock to yourself. Very secluded- they weren’t kidding about the escort in for the first time or 4 wheel drive. House and property were clean with nice amenities. The wife enjoyed working out and yoga overlooking the lake while I drank too much coffee by the fireplace every morning. Great stay

Jun 2022Amazing property, very secluded and right on the lake. Multi-level deck with hot tub, rocking chairs, fire pit and dock on the water. Our family had a great time here and looking forward to coming back again!
Only wish there were curtains on the windows and better doors for the bedrooms.

Aug 2022Amazing property towards the south end of skaneateles lake. Right on the water with all of the amenities you need to cook, grill and relax in the hot tub after enjoying a day on one of the cleanest lakes in the country. We look forward to being back next year!

Oct 2021Although it rained profusely, our stay was enjoyable. The wrap-around porch provided a place outside for socializing, and the interior is special. Paul and his wife have thought of everything to make a stay there hassle free, and Mike, the caretaker, was prompt, available and helpful. The location is remote and spectacular (Take heed to the admonition to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle).
