Die Lage des Riads ist perfekt! Hinter der Stadtmauer am Rand der Medina und gleichzeitig nur 2 Minuten vom Atlantik entfernt! Von unserem Fenster aus, konnten wir sogar das Wasser und den Strand sehen! 😊 Die Mitarbeiter der Villa De L`Ô, Noureddine und Mohamed an der Rezeption, sind unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und freuen sich, den Gästen bei ihren Anliegen zu unterstützen. Noureddine hat für uns sogar mehrmals in einem Geschäft in Marrakech angerufen, um uns zu helfen, etwas von dort nach Essaouira im Bus transportieren zu lassen. Er hat auch völlig unkompliziert den Kontakt zu einem Pferdehof vermittelt, so dass wir einen wunderbaren Ausritt an den Strand erleben konnten. Auch Ismail, der uns jeden Morgen ein sehr leckeres Frühstück serviert hat, freut sich darüber, den Gästen jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Es war auch schön, sich mit der freundlichen Kollegin Khadija, die unsere Suite sauber machte, zu unterhalten - sie hat ein sehr freundliches, zugewandtes Wesen.

Great location, right in the heart of the Medina and with great views of the coast. Very spacious rooms and and old world charm. Lots of antiques in the rooms and with in the property and the staff were great.

The hotel and rooms although historically looking are a little tired and run down. Our room was huge with a large built in bath but the tables were damaged, the robes were old and grey not white and soft, the pillows didn’t fit into the pillow cases and some of the pillows on the bed were dirty. The room was dusty and some of the areas down stairs had a stale musty smell. It was once one of the best Riads in town but not any more. The room was also expensive in comparison to others for same quality in town. Breakfast was fine and the staff did all they could to give us another room. But the owner should invest some money into lifting the hotel to its former glory.

Villa de L'O is a lovely home away from home with a great location and a beautiful view of the ocean.This is a mid-range luxury accommodation in the Medina of Essaouira if you are looking for a comfortable stay. Well recommended...
