Saracen bay the best beach of the island

Too high the price for the bungalow that they gave us, they are not responsible of any kind of thief job or disappear item in the room, they have a safe but if you travel with a lot of electronic device like us for work will be a problem. Also air conditioner only work from 5:00pm till 7:00am so if you want to work close the beach bungalows you cannot use, WiFi not working in the room, just at the restaurant. Be careful not all the room have hot water! During the day is fine but after sunset or during night are not for anybody.

This is the best place to stay on the Saracen Bay side of the island: comfortable huts on the beachfront, a nice restaurant / common area, a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Service was friendly and helpful.

This is not the fault of the property, but Saracen Bay and the interior of the island have started being heavily developed. Many resorts have been evicted by the new owners of the island and are standing derelict before they will be demolished. Large roads are being built across what were once serene forests and friendlier paths. The island seems to have lost its character. The other thing is the wind: in November / December a heavy wind blows from the east, right in to Saracen Bay. While we were there, several other guests cut their stay short because conditions were not ideal for staying on the beach. The beach itself has beautiful white sand, but the water is not as clean / not as good for swimming as the western side of the island. The less developed west side of the island is also more protected from the wind and more suitable for a beach stay.

Restaurant is good and it is quiet. The staff is very friendly as well! If you really want peace and dont care about missing other restaurants or if you are okay walking a lot this is fine (because there are not bikes for example) and you would enjoy.

Most of the beach beds were broken.. The part of the beach in front of the bungalows is not so wide. So not much space for your towel to put on the sand and there are a lot of 'wild' trees growing so we moved everyday to a different part of the island because the beaches and beds where better there. No other restaurants around so if you want to meet some people or go to restaurants where it is a bit more busy then you have to go to the center which is about 20 minutes walking. Also, no hot water in the shower, you just get the water from the lines and get that temperature (cold mostly) maybe some more luxury bungalows do have hot water, I don't know.

Staff was nice.

I really did not like my stay at all. First of all, the pictures that you see are NOT like the reality at all. You are just next to the harbor. The water is so dirty. You have a lot of plastic in it and so much plastic on the beach... you have a tree full of plastic bags and plastic bottles. When you pay this price you expect it to be clean. Second, we paid for a bungalow in front of the beach. We were in front of pile of dustbins and the harbor. So disappointed. We told them and they changed the villa, that was good. The food is so expensive and not good at all. I've been travelling for 2 months and it was the worst food I've had. 4.5$ for a pancake with sugar and lime.. Noodles that are just pasta and clearly not noodles. It's not worth that huge price. The other beaches ( Lazy Beach and Sunset Beach ) are way more beautiful. Go there. It's not worth the price and not like the pictures at all.

air con only works between 5pm- 7am in the hottest months wasn’t enough. room lets in heaps of mozzies big walk up the beach to get to other restaurants money charged for night, it needs to lift its game compared to what else was on the island

Tropical paradise.

Not much.

The villa was situated a few steps from the water, it was roomy and comfortable. We loved the outdoor bathroom. The onsite restaurant was the nicest we found on the island - both in quality of food and design.

The shower had no water pressure so it took a long time to wash.

it s was not clean except for a couple of person the staff is not really friendly they over charge me when I checked out , It s seamed a lot for the two night I spend there so I did the math and the total came to 61 $ and they were asking me for 117$

Really nice big part of the beach. Close to the boat so you don’t have to walk far. Good food. Definitely recommend getting a room with airco in May. Lovely bungalow with a lot of places to hang out.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Brown water came from the taps. There is no roof on the bathrooms, so there is no way to get rid of the mosquitos. Before you use the toilet in the morning, you have to spray yourself with bug spray so that you don’t get bitten to pieces. The food in the restaurant is very expensive and very poor in quality. The location is awful. It is a good 30 minute walk on the beach to any better restaurants or bars/attractions, regardless of what Google Maps says. The hotel charges 5USD per boat trip to the main area. A hostel at the main part of the beach offers a service to its residents for free or 2USD for non-residents! The cherry on top of the cake is that the A/c is only on from 5pm to 7am every day. This means that you wake up at about 8am sweating. This is supposedly because it is run on solar power. However, there were no solar panels to be seen. Also, the hostel down the beach has A/C all day! Areas for improvement could be to: 1) Run a free shuttle to the main area of the beach 2) Put a roof on the bathrooms 3) Extend A/C to all day or Atleast change the hours to 7pm to 9am. 5pm to 7pm is largely useless.

I liked everything, room was very nice with a view of the water,beach very clean,,the restaurant offered good food with big portions at a reasonable price,,the vip tour was great,the staff very friendly n its a shame they will close soon

I can't think of anything I want different

everything single thing about this place is heaven on earth! I’m so glad I choose paradise it’s nestled towards the jungle just off the pier and it’s so private you’ll have the beach to yourself at times. the restaurant and staff could not have been better! I kept extending my stay I couldn’t leave paradise. rooms comfy I upgraded to ac but it’s not terribly hot in the bungalows. the island and people are absolute gems do not miss the water when tides out and it’s just clear blue for miles!

well to start, very close to the pier we got dropped off at so was very convenient, as soon as we walked in the staff greeted us with welcome drinks and a really awesome looking reception. the staff were incredibly lovely and welcoming which made the stay just that much better, we got one of the cheaper rooms but was still beachfront which was a surprise, me and my partner tried almost everything on the menu and were never disappointed, the food was made with love and at a good price, and tasted f**ken good 🙌🏼. there were lots of little animals everywhere from kittens, dogs to geckos and bats so was cool to see. had an amazing experience would book again thank you paradise team.

The staff was great, everything very clean. We could keep part of our luggage there while we stayed at other beach, for no cost. Food is good, with a fair price.

- the standard of the eco villa was not what we expected - there were huge cracks in the wooden villa through which many mosquitoes, geckos and snakes got in - we had 3 snakes in the villa, the service helped us with them, but despite the request, they did not change us to another villa - cleaning and change of towels takes place only on request at the reception - prices in the restaurant are quite high, but portions are large - only cold water in the bathroom - lack of cleaning products in the bathroom

Paradise villas has a lot of different bungalows on the beach at the far end of Saracen Beach. It's close enough to walk to the busier area but far enough to be quiet. Our room was big and comfortable. The bathroom is open to the air and there was a good hammock and outdoor area. The restaurant serves good food. The staff were really friendly.

If you don't like wildlife, consider somewhere else because our room had a resident large lizard and many small ones. We love them so it was great.

The location is outstanding. The staff were friendly, hospitable and couldn't of helped more. Nin and Mey went above and beyond the call of duty every day. The bungalow was clean and a very good size and the outside bathroom was something I have never experienced..just wonderful. The food is fantastic, all made by excellent chefs in an open kitchen were you could see the cleanliness. Even though I like to try new foods wherever I am, the western food was so good and authentic, it was nice to sometimes have a taste of home. I couldn't recommend this place more!

The restaurant was full of ambiance and they serve really good food with a huge portion! The rooms were also nice, basic but clean! The staffs are really nice and friendly. It's a very family friendly environment. Would absolutely come back again there, but above all really, the restaurant have the best food in the island. They also have a welcome drink when u arrive which was also nice.

Just that they could also clean the room everyday. But they do it only if u ask- not much of an issue. But maybe something they could maybe do in the future.

Lovely stay, we booked for 2 nights and ended up staying for a week! The bungalow we had was nice, quiet, and peaceful. It had a little veranda with a hammock and was right on the beach with a beautiful view.

Be aware, there is no wifi in the bungalow, however it works well in the restaurant area. Also, our room was without AC and it got quite hot during the night.

Nice bar and food. Lovely staff. Great view and a hammock outside the hut to relax.

You will get eaten alive by mosquitoes but that is to be expected of a beachfront property with a non fully enclosed roof. When we arrived Saracen Bay was covered in litter supposedly brought in by a recent storm.

Good restaurant facilities. Good value for money.

Long way from where the action is. Maybe better for families.
