make sure to read the details below, but: the structure of the villa is beautiful, the huge garden/park has potential IF (big if) the owner puts in the needed time, love, and money.

before arriving there, the owner called us on the phone saying we have to bring cash as their credit card reader doesn‘t work at the moment (if you go through older reviews you can clearly see that this has been the case for quite some time). our room (junior suite) was € 216.-. when we checked out, his employee had the correct price for our room on his mobilephone, however, tried to ask for € 260.- (my fiancee put € 250.- on the table and he asked for more!) when i realized this, i told him and he was playing innocent. on top, they didn‘t have change. this is impossible if your credit card reader doesn‘t work and you expect your guests to pay in cash. luckily, another guest who checked out too payed some euros too much to cover the difference — thanks again to this unknown friend. the building itself was beautiful once. however, its not clean, some of the things are broken (stairs (which were just fixed when we arrived), tea mugs with broken handles the park/garden is in bad condition (plants are not taken care of, building materials and garbage everywhere), if you walk up to the animals, everything looks unfinished, animal dung on the stairs through the park. they have two quite big dogs running around on the property. they are well behaved but we weren‘t introduced to them and one night after dinner, we came back to the property and they were barking and ran towards us. that‘s the first time we‘ve met them. not necessarily the best experience either. the pictures were taken loooong ago. it doesn‘t look and feel like this anymore.

An elegant historical villa with antique furniture and art and also a nice painting collection makes it an amazing place to relax! The owner Bruno and his staff were very attentive and incredibely helpful ! .. and the most friendly was the dog Sharik ( especially after when he received from us a big piece of meat after dinner in restaurant .))) Breakfast was really delicious with enough choice ,very fresh and good quality. We enjoyed our crumbled eggs with cherry tomatoes from the garden. Our room had a big nice balcony with round table and chairs and large new bathroom with nice view on the garden. I loved the beautiful mint coloured walls in our room! We had coffee and thee in our room , water and beer in the fridge. Our daughter had a also a very pretty room. The Villa is surrounded by beautiful trees what keeps the house cool , we switched off the cooling system and enjoyed summer nights. I did read reviews where guests give 1,0… common guys… i should not want to have such guests in my property !! We were happy to have parking for free in this area and behind a closed gates what you can sleep and not be worried about you car and if you can’t park nicely ( there is plenty place) ask owner Bruno , he wil do it for you! Otherwise you can always book a hotel with standard services and random surroundings.

We can see a lot has already been said by previous guests but we also had a pretty terrible experience (first time I give a bad review on booking, usually I’d rather support hospitality entrepreneurs than complain) at a very high price (220€). Once we realised the whole place was very different than what was displayed on booking,the owner had already taken the amount for the room in cash, so he was far from accommodating. He recognised the photos were misleading and said he was going to correct this on booking. He only then accepted to give us 20€ back, but trust me for 200€ you could get something significantly better anywhere else. He showed us a “better” room but said we had to give the 20€ back because it was an upgrade, which felt like a joke after having been fooled like that. To summarise: - the owner asked us to pay before seeing the room, all in cash - Photos of the room make the whole place look definitely better maintained and prettier than it actually is, but above all be prepared to have a completely different room than you have booked. For 220€ we got a very small room, very old with a squeaky bed and 1 plug for the whole room. - Dismal atmosphere, no light in the stairs, the place feels abandoned same goes for the garden which is poorly maintained. - We slept in a boiling bedroom despite opening the windows (no aircon or even a fan in Italy in August). - Breakfast was really bad as well - the food was terrible and the tables were dirty.
