Feb 2020What a surprise. Beautifully restored Villa. Very comfortable. Far surpassed expectations, and photos don't do this gem Justice :)

Oct 2022We were very appreciative of Gaylene’s generosity as we needed to change our plans. Then spending a few days in this lovely home we got to appreciate it’s many features and creature comforts. Artfully decorated, comfortable beds, fully functioning kitchen with all utensils, good shower, warmth from wood burner distributes throughout bedrooms, many quiet spots to sit outside in the garden, on the veranda. Tranquil location next to Picton-Waikawa walkway. Highly recommend.

Nov 2021We were a group of 4 women friends from uni days celebrating 50 years since we were flatmates in Dunedin. The house was so comfortable and the location on the edge of a reserve with easy access to walking tracks was a bonus.unfortunately our visit coincided with some very inclement weather and we were unable to enjoy the lovely outdoor areas until our last day. However the amazingly efficient woodburner kept us cosy and warm on the first 4 days. The house is very well equipped with everything you might need.....a home away from home

Dec 2021We thoroughly enjoyed both of our stays here during the last month. The property was comfortable and very clean, and the location is very quiet and handy to the Picton-Waikawa track for walking. Excellent communication from Jon and Gaylene

May 2021This was a great place for our week in Picton. Room for the kids, friends, and even somewhere for us to park and clean the boat after days on the water. Gay and Jon were super friendly, helpful and understanding hosts. If they'll have us we'll be back again.

Aug 2022The stay was nothing short of perfect. We appreciated the good communication, really nice homey accommodation and cleanliness.
The only slightly negative thing I could say is that now me missus added ‘purchase and install hot tub’ to her list of things I’m meant to do.

Apr 2021The name says it all! truly an amazing family home. Loved everything about the house has all you'll need for an enjoyable holiday sports event away. Spa pool is an excellent extra bonus. You won't want to leave.

Apr 2022The house was great that it had 4 bedrooms with queens and single beds and all so comfy. Everyone commented what wonderful beds and a great sleep they had. The log fire was great at night and the spa was a fantastic night activity.

Jun 2019Such a beautiful home and a great location being so close to town and right next to the Victoria Domain. The fire was already going when we arrived so the house was lovely and warm. We would definitely stay again.

Jun 2019Our stay was short, but very comfortable. From arriving to the woodburner having been lit for us, every detail was perfect. Great facilities, Warm, cost and comfortable. Gaylene was a pleasure to deal with and very good with clear, timely communication. Would recommend this bach to couples, families or groups like ours. Thanks for having us Gaylene!

Nov 2020Our overall impression of this beautiful property was stunning. From the beautiful gardens, water feature to the inside was beyond our expectations. Jon and Gaylene have a beautiful well loved home and we were extremely lucky to be able to stay there and will definitely return if it is available.
The bed was comfortable, house was clean and private. The spa pool was lovely. Everything about this is 5 stars.
