The view was amazing. The accommodations were amazing. The guest services were above and beyond. I ha e traveled extensively and felt this was the best I ha e ever been cared for throughout the stay.

My family of five stayed in this house in Mid-July for five nights. As the pictures show, it is an ENORMOUS house, and way too large for our family, but we liked the location and wanted a pool! In splurging for this house, we expected it to feel a bit cavernous -- it's way more suited for large groups, or perhaps three or four families -- what we hadn't really expected was how separated we'd feel from our teenagers upstairs. We ended up using three levels (main with kitchen and pool, 2nd level with two bedrooms, and the penthouse). Each bedroom has two king-sized beds and our three kids (15, 14, and 10) immediately wanted to each take a room. My wife and I took the main level bedroom and let the kids use use the 2nd and penthouse rooms which was fine until we realized how difficult it was to communicate with them all. The rooms are more like little apartments than just bedrooms, especially one on the 2nd level and the penthouse which each has its own separate entry from the street and can really be closed off completely from the other rooms. The house is in an ideal location for exploring Manuel Antonio and within walking distance of three or four restaurants, bank and small grocery. The house comes with a concierge service, which is AMAZING! Our concierge, Nuria, helped us set up a Mangrove Tour (highly recommended if you want monkeys on your head!), Manuel Antonio tour guide, surfing lessons (kids loved this!), in-house Chef Service (yum!), wine delivery, and in-house massage service. We felt very taken care of. Over-all, while it feels more like an urban concrete and steel apartment building, the house is very suitable for a large group (10-16) who wants to be super-social in the common areas and take advantage of the amazing concierge service. Everyone they recommended was TOP NOTCH and we enjoyed our stay.

From booking through departure, Amy, Karen, and Nuria took care of me and my family. The home was magnificent. The photos did not do this home justice. Karen was phenomenal when it came to addressing our needs and arranging activities, ideas and transportation for the time we were in Costa Rica. Then, the icing on the cake - Nuria. Nuria called us as we arrived at the airport to ensure we found our prearranged transportation to Casa Espanola, met us at the house when we arrived, and generally took care of us every step of the way, even staying at the house after we departed to ensure a seamless rental car return. Nuria made everything easy. Nuria took the worry out of our vacation and allowed us to enjoy our activities. We rafted the Chorro, we kayaked the mangroves, we enjoyed the Manuel Antonio National Park, and even had the opportunity to enjoy a meal prepared by a local chef. Costa Rica is a beautiful place; the people are nice; and it was all enjoyed while staying in one of the most beautiful accommodations in which I have had the pleasure of staying. Would I recommend staying at Casa Espanola - YES.
