Loved the location. It was very central to shops and restaurants in Katoomba. Liked that we had 2 bathrooms. Kitchen good size. It was nice and quiet. The blackout curtains were appreciated and looked stylish.
The towel rail in the ensuite bathroom did not work . There was no heating in that ensuite either . The extractor fan was noisy and the power panel for heating was not working The bedroom that had the ensuite was freezing cold. The fluffy white rug was dirty.
We could not get the stove top to heat up and it indicated 'low' only. We did no cooking at all.
There should be a bin for rubbish belonging to the premises. It is not acceptable to expect guests to put rubbish in the council bins on the street.
I found crumbs on the toaster, a cobweb in the sitting room and a spider in my bed.

location is central to everything , air conditioning, clean
1-we were asked to empty the rubbish bin upon our departure otherwise we might be charged for cleaning fee .They asked via an email to take the rubbish to a large bin located down the road 5mins away 😳. We never found such a bin , walking around with rubbish bag in our hands for long in cold weather to find a bin ☹️. If emptying the bins are expected to avoid cleaning fee then the property manager must provide one in the building or close by .
we travel a lot staying in serviced appartments and never experienced such a problem in the past .
2- no lift and no car park .
we had to drive around few times and park in the nearby Coles car park and walk to the property. it’s uphill walk and cold at nights .
building is old therefore has no lift and has 25 steps to access the units so if elderly or having huge luggage be prepared
3- Next door pub has loud music until early hours of morning on Friday/Saturday nights .

We had to clean dishes and put away - instead of just using the dishwasher and leave in dishwasher... what's the expensive cleaning fee for?
Dining table only have 3 chairs - we have 4 people.
Chairs and cutlery were low quality, not at all in line with the quality of the room

Location was great as cafes, shops, in walking distance. Close to station. No parking but could park in Station car park.
It was cold inside at times and bathrooms were freezing. Had a blackout but was able to reset fuse box. Stairs a worry carrying bags and with young children.

Great location, nice clean apartment
Hearing wasn’t working and apartment was cold, the heater vent needs a clean to stop the loud noise and allow air flow

The location was fantastic, the apartment looked good inside - on the surface. We found someone else’s leftover food in the freezer, the microwave was dirty, there was rice(?) in a hole just in front of the microwave cabinetry when the door was open, and the cutlery and crockery and pots and pans were dirty. We had to wash everything before we used it. One dining chair was outside the front door - broken - and another chair was broken inside. Therefore we had only 2 dining chairs for 4 people. One of the lightbulbs in the ensuite bathroom needed replacing, and the double power point didn’t work in the bathroom. Neither did the double power point in the main bedroom on the window side. (I have photo’s of all of the above.)
The apartment was also very cold, and the heated towel rails didn’t work at all. We are environmentally conservative and didn’t want the air conditioning going all night. We could only find one blanket, and it wasn’t enough for the freezing temperatures.
The biggest and most stressful issue was the parking. I specifically asked about parking and was told we could park 600m away in Coles car park. Trouble was, Coles car park was a 2hr car park. What were we supposed to do after 2 hours? We certainly weren’t going to keep moving the car every two hours. It is very false advertising to say you can park there, when clearly that is wrong. Even when I rang the property phone number in a distressed state, the feedback was ‘well, you should be able to park there, we tell everyone they can’. Eventually we were able to park in the train station car park when we fortunately scored a vacant spot.
Travelling a long way to attend a sporting event, we had to pay a very premium price for this accommodation, and we felt very let down with what we received.
Positives - it was a in good location, and it was quiet.
