The flat is very clean and cute. Ideal for a solo traveler or a couple. The Capverdian lady who is responsible for you during your stay is absolutely lovely and can give you a lot of recommendations. The apartment is in a safe neighborhood and you can easily walk to the city center in 15 mins. There's a small supermarket near the apartment but also lots of places to get things along the way. Definitely recommend staying there.

Great space with lots of fresh air. Overall a great experience. Interacting with Loredana and Filomena made it that much more better. The apartment is a nice walk from the center of town, and the area has a lot of character. I recommend staying at Santa Maria Flats if you are looking for a friendly and affordable place to call home while visiting Sal! Also, Filomena, the apartment manager, really is great. She was kind of enough to give me an impromptu tour of the area when we happened to leave the building at the same time.

Very clean apartment, very comfortable, it was equipped with everything I needed, nice balcony, it has stores and supermarkets around, it’s directly located at the surfer beach, filomena the lady for the check in was very sweet and welcoming,

There was no WiFi, it’s on the 4th floor with no lift, the check in wasn’t easy because I wasn’t given a specific address as the lady only wanted to give the directions to the Taxidriver and I couldn’t reach the landlady till the evening. Sometimes there is no water in the morning, which is normal because in that area they switch it off everywhere. also there were little ants as soon as you leave food somewhere for a few minutes, which is also normal in Cape Verde ( definitely had nothing to do with the cleanness), it’s a 17 min walk to Santa Maria beach. I didn’t like the fact that I was charged extra costs for the first day, like a water fee, electricity fee and cleaning fee, which I never got charged before, but it was written in the small printed so I should have read better when I booked it. The price is still worth it when you stay 4+ day, because she gave me a better price for the following days. So make sure you stay there for more nights. Overall I did enjoy the stay :)

It was a great value for money and not far from the city centre. It was spacey with enough equipment in the kitchen and a nice bathroom. There was enough water for a family that showered every day. Overall it is a functional apartment, and everything works.

Location on the map is not the real location of the apartment, it is almost 300 m into the interior from the beach. The closest beach is not comparable to the main city beach on the west of town, it has rocks and it is not so nice. Apartment also have weird lights arrangement: same switch controls the bedroom light and the main light. So when you turn of the main light you have a very weak secondary light that is not bright enough for reading. Also the bedroom doors are not proper doors and the do not close from the outside. So when you put your baby to sleep you have to manually block it with something like a chair.
