Location: The location of the apartment was excellent: enjoyed the ocean view and having quick beach access. It's also very close to convenience stores, restaurants, petrol stations and pharmacies.
Cleaning service: It was great that a person came and cleaned everyday so the apartment stayed neat and clean. The lady who cleaned was great.
Security: Location felt safe and there was gated parking for cars.
While the apartment itself was great, there were some basic things that could've made the stay more comfortable and improved our experience.
I booked for 4 nights for 6 people and there were only 3 rolls of toilet paper (no re-fills supplied, no restock during daily cleaning). There was also no hand soap or even toilet spray in the bathrooms. There was a washing machine but no washing powder or any kind of soaps left to be used - we had to purchase these, which was an inconvenience given we were only there for 4 nights.
Durban is a beach stay, and I definitely think there should've been extra towels left in the apartment, or the guest should be notified to bring their own towels.
Shower water temperature control needs to be sorted.
There was also no blow dryer - this is the first stay I've ever had with no blow dryer (Im a frequent traveller) ... I had to purchase one last minute, which was not ideal.
This is not a major issue, but I would highly suggest that the host invest in 1 or 2 fans for the apartment. The rooms get quite hot and a fan would be a great help.
An extra set of keys - when a family of 6 books, I think an extra set of gate keys would be extremely helpful.

The location of 22 Kyalanga is absolutely beautiful, right on the beach with amazing views, especially the sunrise. The apartment is as you see on the images, neat, clean, modern and with all required amenities. Parking is safe and entrance to the apartment is quick with reception being on the same level. The property has a well maintained pool and garden and security is really good too. Wifi worked very well and there are 3 TVs as well. My family and I will definitely return to this tranquil and gorgeous apartment.
Nothing to mention other than keep your sliding doors closed as monkeys in the area are always looking for food :0)

The location was perfect, right on the beach. The apartment was very clean and had everything you'd expect.
The lift didn't go all the way down to the bottom car park.

There was no teas and sugar sachets and the fact tht they did not provide us with tissue paper except for the day we got there. Wish there was extra proper blankets provided
It was clean ,peaceful and relaxing. Every staff member was friendly and welcoming. Liked the fact that the restaurants were close by too.

Location: 5-Stars, on the beach with a private gate to the beach-walking. Perfect ocean view.
Apartment: Very neat and spacious, with a fully-equipped kitchen (you name it ~ everything), bathroom need care. The balcony is perfect and very spacious with a braai set, a big table, and sun-tanning chairs. Very comfy beds and lots of BIC.
TV/WiFi: 5-Stars.
Keys Collection: Smart drop/collection Box for after-hours.
Host: 5-Stars. Very humble, friendly, and helpful, answering questions/queries all time.
Parking: Very tight covered bay for Large 4x4 = Hope Trusty can allocate Covered bays for Large Vehicles.

𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆: Security staff is absent MOST OF THE TIME over the weekend and after-hours where 90% of the time (esp. Sat and Sun) they're not physically on their front desk (You need to phone them ~ there's a sign behind the empty desk with name and number). We found that very problematic esp upon arrival and when trying to get access to the garden/beach for the first time. Also, security has no clue regarding unit-to-parking allocations. I hope the trusty can improve security existence. ONLY Mr. Norman was at his desk most of the time and very helpful.
𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱-𝟭𝟵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹: ZERO. Not even a single sanitizer station, neither at the reception nor at the elevator or garden entrance. No screening at all. I hope the trusty can improve this.
