Apr 2018We enjoyed our stay and the pictures give a true impression of the condo. Very small but perfect for a family of 4. Cannot beat the beach location which is why we stayed there. Beds need replacing and perhaps new linens. Overall we had a great stay.

Jun 2021This condo is directly on the beach with beautiful views from the front porch. It’s very clean and well decorated. The beach was not crowded and had a family-friendly atmosphere. There is also a shower and hose for rinsing off sand before you go inside. There are a few things you may want to know before booking this condo:
It is tiny! The four of us felt crowded during our stay. The unit is a very small space.
The kitchen refrigerator is about half the size of a regular size refrigerator. If you plan to buy groceries once during the week, you may want to bring a cooler for extra cold storage.
If you get makeup, or self tanner on a linen you will be charged a $50 fee. All of the towels, pillowcases, sheets, and the bed covers are white. This information is also included in the rules section when booking.
To book this unit you will be required to purchase an additional $59 trip insurance that covers accidental damages.
We received a call before check-in that the keyless entry was not working. We drove about a mile to the Island Vacation Properties office to get the keys, and returned them upon our departure.
The bathroom does not have a fan and can get stuffy, especially if the dryer is running.
Be careful when you pull out the dishwasher racks, as the dishwasher did not seem to be attached to the unit wall.
The beds were not very comfortable.
There is not an oven in the condo, but there is a cooktop. An oven is not listed in the description. To reiterate the highlights, the beach and views are amazing, and the location is within walking distance of restaurants and shops!

May 2021The inside of the condo was beautiful. We were supplied with everything that we needed. And the location being right on the beach was terrific. Only small issues we had was with the lock on the front door. We contacted manager and they helped us immediately. I would recommend this location to anyone. And will definitely return in the future.

The toilet broken, No Oven in the kitchen, Andthe agency service very cold and unreliable ( there is nothing We can do, play with it and he tells you I fixed it, tey this code and if you can’t get back to the App call us back....

Our only critiques would be the bathroom sink faucet lacked pressure, the beach umbrellas and chairs provided were either broken or very rickety and the frig is very small, which was fine for just 2 people but I can imagine a family staying might run out of room quickly. You just can't beat the location and the view, just steps from the beach and the 2nd floor offers more privacy without people walking back and forth in front of your door to and from the beach. You can just kick back, grab your glass of wine and have a front row seat to the sunset every night! The property managers were very easy to work with and loved the app to access information, even though it didn't properly update us when the key box on the door broke and we had to drive to the office to pick up the key. All in all though, we would highly recommend this property!

Another for more beach chairs, and got them with no issue, and finally to store our luggage for a few hours, and they were gracious every single time. I would 1000% recommend!

My daughter and I absolutely loved our stay at Shell Cove! It was small, which we REALLY loved. There was a really good little ice cream shop (Small Town Creamery) that we visited twice and adored. Longboat and Siesta Keys were a very short drive away and were beautiful places to see. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come again next year!

We had a great experience working with Island Vacation Properties. We ran into a problem with the washer/dryer not working and a previous issue with them that hadn't been disclosed when we made the reservation (hence the reason for the 3 stars related to property condition), but maintenance stayed in contact with us during our vacation and is working to compensate us for the inconvenience. We sincerely appreciate the customer service and follow-through. Aside from this, the unit is great and you couldn't ask for a better location. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The whole process was exceptional. I scheduled a very last minute trip and the rental company was so accommodating to my needs. I ended up with a very nice, clean oceanfront condo that fit our family perfectly. when we had one minor issue they were there within 10 minutes to get it fixed. Since I have come home I already referred this company to a friend who is going down there in two weeks

I was very impressed with the decor at this 2-bedroom condo. Great that my one visitor had her own cute bedroom. My neighbor was jealous of my accommodations compared to hers. All the people I met at Shell Cove were so friendly, especially those who have been coming here for years! Can’t get any closer to the beach! View it from your window or from the balcony. It’s all good! Loved every minute!

This was our first venture to Florida staying at a condo, so we did not know what to expect. The accommodations were very good. We did have some issues which we addressed to the rental agent, the main one was that the dryer in the facility was not operational and was not repaired during our two week stay, we were told they were waiting for a part on order for the repair. It was also brought to the attention of the rental agent, that some of the dishes that were stored in the closets were not clean and the dishes and other amenities were very spartan. A representative from the rental agency stopped by to see us and presented us with a gift card to a local restaurant due to the inconvenience of not being able to utilize the automatic washer and dryer. There was another issue with the drain in the bathroom sink as it was not operational in opening and closing. in spite of this we had a wonderful time.
