Die Bäckerei Fredericksburg bietet drei Zimmer, die von einer Familie oder Freunden reserviert werden können und die sich im gesamten Obergeschoss befindet, ODER sie kann als drei separate (und private) Schlafzimmer mit sehr geräumigen Gemeinschaftsbereichen gemietet werden, die von allen Gästen geteilt werden. Das Gebäude war schon immer als das alte Priess-Gebäude bekannt und wurde um 1888 gegründet. Zu dieser Zeit befand sich dort ein Ladengeschäft. Seit Mitte der fünfziger Jahre wird es als Bäckerei betrieben - zuerst Bruce Scully, dann Ende der achtziger Jahre kauften Mike und Patsy Penick die Bäckerei, bis sie 2014 geschlossen wurde.
Der Wohnbereich besteht aus zwei großen Räumen mit drei Gruppierungen von Sofas und Stühlen. Es gibt auch zwei quadratische Tische und Stühle und einen runden Eichentisch. Angrenzend an den Speisesaal ist eine geräumige Küche, die genutzt werden kann, wenn alle drei Schlafzimmer an einer Party vermietet werden. Um das Wunder hinzuzufügen, gibt es eine vordere und hintere Veranda mit Gartenmöbeln. Die Veranda bietet einen Blick auf die Hauptstraße von Fredericksburg und die hintere Veranda auf einen Innenhof.
Drei separate (Schlaf-) Suiten stehen zur Verfügung. Das vordere Schlafzimmer (Suite 1) ist das größte - ein Kingsize-Bett mit einem Quilttopper steht im Mittelpunkt des Zimmers. Eine Kommode, ein Kleiderschrank, ein Sofa und ein Stuhl ergänzen das Zimmer und zwei Doppeltüren, die sich auf die Veranda öffnen. Es gibt einen Flachbildfernseher auf dem Schrank. Ein kleines Bad mit Dusche grenzt an das Schlafzimmer an.
In allen Bereichen sind die Antiquitäten wunderschön mit Quilts an den Wänden und Gruppierungen von Drucke und anspruchsvolle Land Dekorateure Elemente angezeigt. Die Decken sind durchweg 14 Fuß hoch und vermitteln ein Gefühl der Geräumigkeit - und vergangene Tage sind ein Genuss für die Sinne.

Jun 2022While I did enjoy the delicious aromas early in the morning from the downstairs bakery, the guest suite 1 being off of Main Street was very noisy at night and was impossible to sleep through with other guests using the porch. It's a very charming place to stay in a super convenient location! Great parking! Amazing breakfasts! Wonderfully priced too! Despite noise being an issue, it's one you take for the team to get to stay here.

Sep 2020We were on the second floor looking over Main St. There was lots of traffic and sometimes it got pretty noisy. It was fun being so lose to everything but next time I I'd stay off Main.

Jun 2022We stayed here for a last minute weekend trip, and were not disappointed. We stayed in suite #1. The room was quite large with a bed, sitting area & couch, and bathroom with shower, and a large balcony right over Main Street. There is a large common area with a kitchenette (Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, etc.) which was a nice option. Each morning, guests receive a box of complimentary delicious pastries from the bakery below. We did not find it to be at all noisy (we live in a downtown metro area, so traffic noise in Fredericksburg is nothing). The common areas and our room were clean and well-kept. Plenty of common-area seating available inside and out (2 large balconies and an outdoor patio), so you can enjoy a meal or watch the sunset. If you are avoiding carbs, this place may not be for you, as the delicious aromas from the bakery below begin wafting up into your room around 5 a.m. each morning. We will definitely add this place into our regular rotation of places to stay in Fredericksburg!

Aug 2022We loved the location. We arrived at the location and the key would not work in the door due to the lock being broke we called and they told use the would have it fix. They never came to fix it so we ended up fix it for them.
Non of the fans where working the bed and pillows where so old we had issues sleeping.
We where going to book for Christmas but now I think we will look at some place else.

May 2021We loved the historic vibe of the property. The location was right in the middle of everything and we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. The bakery is awesome and we loved waking up to the smell and fresh goodies provided for breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Mar 2022We loved the charm of this older but quaint location though in the winter, the rooms can be a bit drafty but nothing a blanket won’t cure. The location in relation to the Main Street strip was excellent. We were able to walk most everywhere, only needing our vehicle once all weekend. Overall, our trip was really good HOWEVER, double check with the landlord if they have replaced the mattress for the king-size bed in Suite 1 before booking unless you can sleep on a very uncomfortable bed. The bed had a foam mattress topper when we arrived but it was hard as a rock. We removed it from the bed, but the mattress itself was still very old and very uncomfortable. Probably why it had a topper in the first place, but it only made things worse. So again, all in all we loved the location and most everything else, just beware of the bed! We informed the owners of our issues with it while on site so maybe they have taken care of it. 4 out of 5 stars, would have been 5 of 5 except for the rough few nights of sleep!

Nov 2020We loved staying at this cozy and convenient getaway. Every morning we woke up with the smell of the bakery downstairs and WOW what a smell to wake up to. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. A Bonus that we were not expecting was the bakery leaving us treats every morning and WOW were they delicious!!!!!! We would definitely stay here again!

It wud have been nice if the minni blinds facing Main street wud have been working, also the windows cud b wiped down every 4 to 6 months. We were unable to record shows so we cud watch them later when we got back, like maybe the natl news. Yes, I do recommend this location, wud b lovely for the whole family to stay in! We will b back here if the situation presents itself. I will b saying what a lovely time we had here and recommending the place!

Oct 2019To be clear, this is only a B of a B&B. I was under the impression that since it was advertised as a B&B at a German Bakery, that there would be an amazing, quiat breakfast. In fact, there is no staff of any kind, nor a breakfast. You have to go to another property to get the key and there is no way to get service once on the property. "Breakfast" is either a danish set out or a bag of bread. You then have to return the key at the other property address at the end of the stay. It is located on the main street and walking distance to everything. But, it is also very noisy because of that.

Aug 2022This has to be our 4th or 5th stay a the Fredericksburg Bakery. This was however our first time in Unit #1, we've always stayed in #2. This room #1 was much larger and we loved the convenience of the balcony. That being said, if you are a light sleeper stay in one of the other two rooms because this one is directly in front of Main street. This home is like staying at your grandma's house, very vintage, I love it. It's absolutely the best location, we never had to drive anywhere. We will definitely stay again, only this time I may try #3 so that I will have experienced the entire home.

Oct 2021The room was fantastic and getting to sit on the balcony was so relaxing. The only down side was the traffic was very loud and made it hard to sleep. When we come back, we won’t be staying in the front bedroom again because of the traffic
