Sep 2021You simply cannot be at the location, because waking up to sunrise over the Pacific was special every single morning of our stay. It is a pretty spartan bungalow, lacking few creature comforts, or lacking almost any for that matter. Blinds on some of the windows would be a nice cheap fix. The Wi-Fi was OK and there is a TV but it does not work and there is no radio or stereo, so if you're looking forward to a sporting event on TV as we were, you'll need to head into town or a hotel somewhere. There is no stove, only a one burner electric. So cooking on site really isn't going to work.We knew going in what we were expecting. Overall, our experience was great and Tish is very accommodating and we would return. If you're looking for someplace to decompress, and unwind, this checks all the boxes. And the sun rises? Well, with the price of admission right there. Cheers and enjoy your stay!

Nov 2018Wonderful waterfront hideaway! Exactly as pictured and exactly as described. Favorite things: the stunning and uber relaxing view, the cooling trade winds, the stacked washer dryer, and Tish. Not so favorite: modest parking for larger vehicles such as our SUV and an unlit sidewalk - neither of which were deal breakers for us. The location is perfect if you're looking for a quiet relaxing getaway; about 20 minutes south of the North Shore and about an hour north of Honolulu. You will need to rent a car. Due to the location, I wouldn't necessarily say this is ideal for your first visit to Oahu but if you're returning visitors or have a strong sense of adventure then this is perfect. The surrounding town is small but adequate with a grocery store, drug store, a few restaurants, and the ever popular Polynesian Cultural Center and its many vendors and kiosks. The view shown in the photos is true to life. We used the wash machine as our dirty clothes hamper and once it was full we ran the load....probably the first time we've ever returned from vacation with all clean clothes - a nice unexpected bonus. Tish was wonderful! She greeted us, gave a quick tour, answered questions, and left us to enjoy ourselves. She was available for questions but mostly just let us do our own thing which was perfect. We still felt like we were on our own while staying at a friend's place. Can't say enough about this vacation rental. Highly recommend!!

Mar 2022With a private backyard and access to the ocean, this property is perfect if you're looking for a secluded getaway. Although there are neighbors on either side, the backyard felt very private and I did not hear any noise at all. The sunrises are truly incredible and made it feel like I was on my own private island!

Apr 2018We loved the location and the ocean. Interior was very basic and a little outdated. Owners were super nice and acoomadating and treated us like family!

Oct 2022We loved our stay at this property. Watching the sunrise every morning was amazing! Having the ocean so close was the best. It was fun to go out and walk on the wet sand when the tide was low, and we enjoyed watching the waves crash on the wall during high tide. One morning we even saw sea turtles out in the water while we were sitting on the porch enjoying the morning.
Check in was super easy. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals (the hotplate was easy to use as well). It was nice to have a washer and dryer to use when we needed it. The bedroom is the only room that has A/C and it works great.
This property is super close to all North Shore areas, which made it easy to get to the places we wanted to visit. Getting to Honolulu was not difficult either.
Lance was very timely with a couple of things that we needed his help with. He even brought us two body boards for us to use, which saved us some money.
We would book this property again due to the location right on the ocean.

But the whole front room is glass looking at the ocean (not a sandy beach) and the owners are very nice and helpful! It’s not the Ritz, but it’s not priced that way either. Quiet location, on the ocean, worked well for us!

Aug 2018We enjoyed our stay of 6 days here. drove around the area and found places to eat since we love L&L Hawaiian BBQ and a place just down the street for plate lunch both places give a lot of food and inexpensive I make 2-3 meals out of 1 lunch. I Loved sitting in the living room and watch the sun come up. being able to just walk out side and get in the water was great. really nice place for people that just enjoy the simple life. Mahalo for allowing us to rent it, we greatly enjoy it.

Apr 2019We absolutely enjoyed our week on Oahu! Our time was wonderful and in large part due to our location! The house is ON the water and close to everything we wanted, mostly away from busy Waikiki. We spent time at he Polynesian Cultural Center/hiking/beach days at Turtle Bay/waterfalls/North Shore. All within a 10-30 minutes drive. Pearl Harbor was approx 45 mins as was Waikiki. We snorkeled at the house (definitely invest in reef shoes) and are local.
The house was as described so no surprises. Wonderful host!

Sep 2022This place was very clean and a great location away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities. The AC in the bedroom was a godsend as the rest of the place has no AC. Very happy and would stay here again! Thnx for staying available Lance! Lance, the host, was great.

The backyard view is amazing, and we spent several lovely mornings enjoying our coffee while watching the sunrise over the ocean from the lounger chairs. The living area is very spacious - a wonderful spot to relax and wash our clothes after adventures on the island. Tish was a very helpful and attentive host.

Mar 2022This is a place with the ocean about 50 feet from the living room. If that's all you need you are good! Some decent places to eat within 10 minutes drive. The area has no night life so if that's what you want stay else where.

Dec 2022This house was perfect for my husband and I who were on our honeymoon and wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of a crowded resort. Gorgeous sunrises every morning. Beach right out the door. We saw many sea turtles each morning.

Mar 2019This home isn’t fancy, but it was perfect for our getaway. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of the city, which made it very relaxing. It overlooks the ocean and we could hear the waves crashing and saw some spectacular sunrises.

Mar 2019The house was a great place for us to stay. The location was perfect for all the activities that we wanted to do. It was very quiet and private, and very comfortable. It made our first trip to Oahu very enjoyable. We were close to the water just like we wanted, and away from the busy city.
