We loved this apartment, the pool, the view, the laid back atmosphere and friendly owner!

We just expected the living area to be a little bit bigger.

Villa Markoc is located in a beautiful residential area of Cavtat. A small town, an old town, great restaurants, bars and friendly warm people. Easy access to the beach, restaurants. But you can also spend time at the villa swimming pool. The apartments are large, cosy, clean and have everything you could possibly need. The owner is friendly, helpful and lovely. The place is very close to Dubrovnik airport.

Villa Markoc is amazing, one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in for a holiday. Everything in the apartment is taken care of, the beds are really comfy, one of the best I’ve ever slept in abroad, it’s a super king so plenty of space for both you and your partner, the bedding, pillows and mattress are all super comfy. The apartment is super spacious and very well equipped. The kitchen is full of everything you need to make make, such as an oven, kettle, microwave, grill, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and all utensils. The air conditioning is excellent, there is a huge sofa, a nice dining table, a wide screen smart TV so you can watch Netflix etc, excellent wifi, plenty of storage for your clothes and a lovely little dressing table for girls to get ready. Then you have a lovely sized balcony which leads out into the stunning pool area. The pool itself is excellent, so clean, just the right size and views to die for with excellent well maintained gardens surrounding! There are plenty of sunbeds for everyone, a hot tub with views out into the bay, a sauna if you want to use it, a communal BBQ and even pet tortoises walking around which add to the feel of the place. I can’t stress how breathtaking the views are from the pool area, looking out towards the bay of Dubrovnik, it’s stunning! Finally the host Anita is so so nice and very very helpful, she really can’t do enough for you, nothing is a problem for her and her relaxed chilled out vibe makes you feel relaxed and part of the family. A truly excellent stay and next time I visit Croatia, I will definitely be staying here again.

A few things to watch out for. They didn’t bother us but could be bothersome for other people. The walk to and from the apartments from the centre of Cavtat is up a steep hill, but there is a number 10 bus service every half an hour from the centre to the apartments which eliminates the hill if you need to. Cavtat is located by Dubrovnik Airport so planes are flying overhead all day, I didn’t notice the noise and it didn’t bother me whatsoever, in fact it was pretty fun watching them.

No complaints about the property at all.

The communication with Anita was smooth and easy in English. We only stayed for 1 night, but we had time to enjoy the swimming pool in the morning, which was lovely. Hvala Anita for the grapa!

For the price that we paid for 1 night, breakfast should be included.

We had such a lovely stay - really pretty pool area, so clean & relaxing with amazing views! Our apartment was lovely & spacious and had everything we needed. Anita the host was really helpful & friendly. We would happily come back & will recommend to family & friends!

It is a climb up the hill coming back from the town but it just made us feel less guilty about eating so much lovely food!!

We booked Villa Markoc spontaniously after our car broke down and we had a pretty bad experiance at another accomodation. The views from the accommodation are stunning, the pool is always fresh and clean. There is a nice grill to stuff yourself while exulting from the views. Anita picked us up and received us very friendly and welcoming. The following days she was giving us an incredible support and doing everything possible to help us. She also made us feel very good and comfortable at her place. We totaly recommend staying here. Thank you so much.! Hvala!

everything was perfect!

The size of the room and the facilities were all excellent, well maintained and clean. The pool was just right and the hot tub was a great bonus, as was the steam room. Couldn't fault the property. Little supermarket just a 100yds down the road. The walk down to Cavtat took about 8mins. Easy down hill but a bit of a killer on the way back up in the heat. A walk around to Beach Bar Little Star in the evening to see the sunset over Dubrovnik is a must. Also the boat to Dubrovnik is very reasonable and frequent throughout the day. Costs about 150Kn return and takes about 45mins

The place is clean, new and has all facilities that you need. Swimming pool and jacuzzi have an amazing view over the Cavtat bay. The location is very good with walkable distance from the center. Parking available. The owner is very nice and helpful. Definitely recommendable and I hope to come back.

It's a nice walk up hill from centre of town

Lovely, relaxing and peaceful location, we pretty much had the pool to ourselves most days. Our ground floor apartment was large with plenty of hanging and storage space. Hairdryer, ironing board, iron, toiletries, kettle washing up liquid, tea towel and cloth included. Anita and the other guests were really friendly so a nice atmosphere. The friendly cats!

On our last night a family with 2 young children checked in to the apartment above us and unfortunately the noise of them running around and crying travelled down waking us up very early. We paid 20 euros for a taxi transfer from the airport arranged through the apartment so were a bit surprised that there was another couple in the car and we were still charged 20 euros.
