Gorgeous spacious apartment, well appointed. Bright and airy and the washer dryer is a huge bonus
Cleaning could be a little better, especially the kitchen which just field a little grimy. ie. drawers and cupboards not clean.

Lotus Apartment is close to the centre of Manly. It is in a quiet street.
Lotus Apartment is not where google maps has it located. It is not opposite the beach but in a back street of Manly. We know Manly well but if you were unfamiliar with the area you could be confused with the location. This ‘apartment’ has seen better days. In fact, the building has seen better days. We were in ‘apartment’ number 6. It appears as though the 4 apartments on the top floor are holiday rental and the apartments below are permanent. Our Apartment 6 was quite run down and seemed the worst on offer of the available apartments. Don’t be deceived by the photos on the booking site. I wouldn’t have minded so much if we weren’t paying $250 a night. At that price I was expecting the quality to be better. The bedroom floor was sandy on arrival and had not been properly swept. The front door entrance concrete was badly cracked and falling apart, with bits of it welcoming us at the front door. The kitchen floor had several chips out of the tiles. There was some patch work done to the walls and door but it had not been finished off. The curtains hung loosely and there is little privacy from neighbours in apartment blocks on both sides of the apartment. This place needed some renovations to make it cheery rather than dismal. You don’t come back there to relax; rather you spend as little time in the apartment as you can. There are no wardrobes in the bedroom just a cheap hanging area. We were charged $20 a night for ‘parking’. This was under some dodgy carport with no walls in the back yard. The apartment had a sign hanging up ‘ The beach fixes everything.’ I think they were hoping that this may be the case. Unfortunately it wasn’t. This was such a disappointing apartment for the price we paid. Avoid if you can.

The proximity of the place to the beach & few restaurants
The place was not well ventilated and cleaned upon our arrival, still dust on the bed cover and a stong odour emanated from the bathroom. It's also not well equipped.

The pull out sofa didn't work properly, there was no linen available or pillows for the pull out sofa. Very very noisy neighbours.

old style building. 8 units, 4 bottom floor and 4 second floor. wouldn’t want to be here with rowdy people, very close together and the car parking is difficult and

cleaner didn’t knock, and just let herself inside 15 minutes before checkout time asking if I was staying another night or leaving that day

no toilet paper provided, was told after purchasing my own- I should have rung and they would have provided it. I did ring, but it was an answer machine as I arrived on Sunday evening. cleaning products left outside front door on arrival. paid for parking and when none was available was told by receptionist, who I found outside smoking, the following morning just to let them know- that ‘that they have 3 other properties, I could have parked at any of them’ I was not told this at time of booking. dee at reception was not helpful nor happy.

Location was good. Good having a washing machine and dryer.
The pillows were terrible, only x2 hangars on the tiny clothes rail. No extra blankets and the doona quilt on both beds was far too thin for winter. Also we were very disappointed when we returned from a day out and someone had come into our apartment and left a window wide open in our bedroom. Not only was this a security issue, but also made our whole apartment extremely cold. Not impressed!

Unit was warm and comfortable.
We were advised on check in (and nowhere previously) that we should have booked parking and as we had not booked it, that we would have to pay a $500 bond to obtain a permit to park on the street. Would have appreciated a heads up about that.

It was convenient for my purpose.
It was difficult to park. Internet was not easy to connect. The renovation in adjoining apartment was disruptive and noisy. The shower tap dripped. Howe we, the apartment had a comfortable bed and was a good space which had been well planned.

Took me 30 mins to find manager to check me in. The property has since charged me for a second night with no reason and will not respond to emails or calls.
This place is a scam. Stay away. Photos are not accurate and facilities are delapidated. Feels like a motel in Las vegas

The staff were rude when we arrived and tried arguing about a 12pm check in time
when it clearly stated this on website. The property was dirty, we had no hot water for two days and they gave us 1 roll
of toilet paper and soap for three night stay.

Excellent location, a few mins walk to the beach.
Confusion about the check in time but that was sorted out quickly. Clearer instructions on where to park would have been helpful.

The knobs in the shower need to be adjusted or calibrated.
adjusting to a Comfortable temperature is difficult. the hot water knob and cold water are not the same. spent at least 2-3 minutes adjusting both knobs to get a perfect temperature that wouldn’t scold or freeze me

The apartment itself is very nicely presented. The other apartments in the building are tenanted by a very wide range of tenants, just something to be aware of.

Cozy with nice setup, clean and very conformable.
Perhaps a thicker duvet or extra duvet ( I didn't find any available) as it is getting colder would have been great and definitely needed for the winter months
