Posizione abbastanza comoda per raggiungere il centro, la fermata metro più vicina dista 10 minuti a piedi. Wi-Fi funzionante. Cucina molto utile.

Poco agibile, per raggiungere le stanze bisogna percorrere una scalinata piuttosto lunga e stretta. Non è possibile chiudere le persiane/serrande (non ci sono, ci sono delle tendine veneziane), quindi al mattino la luce inonda la stanza molto presto. Poco insonorizzata, si sentono tutti i rumori provenienti dalla strada e dalle altre camere.

The space was really nice, well furnished, and decorated. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. And bathroom clean and came with a few amenities. It’s the cheapest you’ll find in New York so good value for money.

Unfortunately there were building works going on in the block, and on top of that lots of loud noises from pipes and radiators. So was slightly lacking sleep! The area isn’t nice. And it is sketchy, be ready to get Ubers and cabs especially in the evenings and late nights.

Harstikke mooie kamer/ appartement met ruime badkamer. Wij gebruikten de kamer enkel als slaapplek en stalling voor onze koffers. Van ‘s ochtends vroeg tot ‘s avonds laat waren we per slot van rekening toch op pad. Voor dergelijk gebruik leent het zich uitstekend. Netjes verzorgd en alle faciliteiten aanwezig. Een metrostation (125th str) om de hoek, waarmee je met 10/ 15 minuten in hartje Manhattan zit.

Zoals in andere reviews aangegeven is de buurt nogal rauw. Je zit natuurlijk in Harlem en vind daar per definitie niet de elite van New York. Een redelijk aantal daklozen dat zich op de straten of metrostations bevindt. Ze vragen om geld en eten, maar laten je verder met rust. Prijs/ kwaliteit verhouding echter top.

The location is great for the 2 and 3 express lines of the subway (10 min walk) and there are supermarkets, pharmacies and bars/restaurants. The host was very responsive on whatsapp and provided clear instructions on getting into the property, and secure storage for our luggage after check out. It was quiet and we barely heard our neighbours unlike some other reviews- just the odd door bang of them coming and going but you'd get that in a hotel too. Good place to rest your head between busy days out.

The place is not luxury but it's perfectly functional if basic. You get what you pay for. We had one of the top floor apartments which was on the back of the property and is maybe older than some of the pictures included in the advert for the property - it seemed that out of the 8 apartments within, 5 or so are on this site. It was still functional, clean and well enough equipped. Some extra bedroom furniture like a nightstand and lamp would have been nice. The sofas were quite uncomfortable but we never really used them.

O apartamento é ótimo, bem limpo, roupas de cama e toalhas ótimas. O aquecimento funciona de forma excelente. O banheiro era otimo, chuveiro quentinho, box de vidro, bem limpo. Vários utensílios na cozinha e também alguns itens de comida, como café, açúcar, sal, etc. Fiquei, primeiramente, em um apartamento no último andar. A escada é estreita e um pouco cansativa para mim que estava com criança, mas nada que atrapalhe a estadia. Depois fui para o apartamento térreo com quintal. A comunicação com a responsável é excelente. A localização é boa por ser em Manhattan mesmo, mas os percursos de ônibus e metro podem demorar um pouco. A vizinhança é tranquila. No bairro precisa ficar um pouco atento assim como em toda a cidade. Achei um bom custo benefício. Fui em novembro/23, outono, estava frio, em grupo de dois adultos e duas crianças.

The Harlem Getaway provides a comfortable accommodation. There was everything we needed in a quaint space for two. It is well maintain and I can't say enough about the location in one of my favorite parts of the city I will rebook at The Harlem Getaway in the near future.
