Hotel Amaris

Perfect location right next to the train station, which made traveling super easy. ​Everything was impeccably clean, modern, and extremely comfortable. ​We truly had a wonderful experience from start to finish—not a single thing to complain about!

The room was air conditioned, and we were able to control the air conditioning ourselves. This was much appreciated, especially during the heatwave!

As usual, the price could have been a bit lower given that breakfast was not included.

Good location, nice family room and friendly staff

We had some problems with the check-in cause our card didn't work that's why we were happy that we came just several minutes after check-in time and someone still was on the reception. The girl kindly helped us and then it was fine. Also I don't know how would we check-in by ourselves after check-in time if we wouldn't have NFC in our phones cause firstly you get a key on your phone. We liked the breakfast with coloured boiled eggs, it was quite nice, never seen smth like that before. :)

Ok guys, I guess I’ve never wrote such a long negative review with all the info of what to expect and tips how to live in the hotel, but here it is. 1. First of all, note that the hotel is old and our comfort room was far from what we saw on the photos. The room is very old-fashioned, walls are dirty, the light is awful, yellow. Until now it was the worst hotel in Switzerland we had, in the same price range. 2. We had a comfort room and were lucky to have an air-conditioner (I’ve seen in the reviews, that someone didn’t). Anyway there is quite bad ventilation so there is no air in the room and you also cannot open the window, cause windows face a very noisy train station. So definitely check twice if your room has an air conditioner. Also our room smelled with smoke so there were coffee beans everywhere XD Do I have to mention that it didn’t help? 3. Note that there is no teapot in the room, you have to ask it on the reception (although it was in the description of the room). 4. Always put a note “don’t disturb” on the door cause the cleaning ladies come in the very morning like 7 a.m. to check if you are still there (with or without knocking).
