Hotel Colombia

Location was great close to the station and a short walk from the city centre.

Everything could do with a refurb. Bed wasn't great.

A 3-4 minutes walk from the train station, and about 10-15 to Piazza Unità, really convenient.

The room feels a bit crammed and it’s very minimal. The shower door opens against the bidet, just to give the idea… Also I am not exaggerating when I say that those were the hardest pillow I ever slept on.

A simple hotel in a good location within walking distance of main transport hub. The lady on reception was very kind and helpful. I was able to access my room earlier than the original check in time.

The room was rather dated and noise from the adjacent building was evident.That said it was clean and functional,so suitable for my overnight stay in Trieste.

The hotel is convenient to the train station and the Roman Theatre and other sites.

The air conditioner did not work and the staff argued it was working because you could hear tit run. The fact was that there was no air blowing out of the register. I tried to so the staff that is was not blowing and they claimed it was because The system was just recharged. The unit did not blow when we turned the heat up. T he blower unit was the issue, but they did not believe me because they heard it. On the 2nd night they offered us a smaller room but the air was not working there either. I even dropped a tissue next to the air vent and it di not move but fell straight down. Had the air been blowing the tissue would have moved away from the air vent. Any yes the fan was turned on the highest setting. They called a technician and I asked that he come to the room to see the issue himself, he checked the central unit and said it was fine and did not stop by the room. I am not sure how this place rates as a 4 Star Hotel.
