Yeah Barcelona Hostel

Friendly staff, great location close to the metro line, the breakfast buffet was fantastic and the price was decent providing how expensive Barcelona can be. Oh and it was super clean!

Since I am tall I struggled to get comfy in the upper bed a bit.

The shower had good water pressure, and could get hot. Incredible AC so despite the heatwave it was very comfortable inside. The shower, sink, and toilet were all separate so you didn't have to wait to use it most of the time. The room was cleaned every day, and there was a rooftop terrace where you could also buy sangria and beer. There was a little paddling pool to lie in as well, so you didn't get too hot. The dinner (for only 12 euros) you could get a full 3 course meal and free sangria/beer, and catered to dietary requirements as well (upon request). The staff were really friendly and warm. The buffet breakfast had good options, and the first floor was an entire relaxed fun game zone (bed, big table with charging ports, games, and a sofa). It looked very well maintained. It's also right in the heart of the gothic quarter, so walking to the beach was 30 mins, and up to parc guell was about 30 to 45. There is also a lift so even though it's a very tall building all areas are accessible.

Only a niggling detail that it might have been nice to have been able to adjust the thermostat slightly in the room (i.e. fan or a temp range of a few degrees), but I'm guessing this is intentional so that guests don't end up in a war with each other!

Clean roomes and baths, the check in was very smooth and easy, and also the location is just perfect in the heart of Barcelona!

Every bed had 2 usb and one plug socket, the thing is that the usbs did not work and i had to manage my devices only with the plug socket.

My experience was average. The reception staff was inconsistent: sometimes they greeted guests warmly, and sometimes they did not. Upon arrival, I was only informed that I could pay for breakfast and that there was a different group activity every evening. However, nobody explained the other facilities available, such as the common areas or whether I was allowed to use the kitchen. I initially thought these areas were only for guests who purchased breakfast or dinner. When I used the kitchen, some staff members were arguing or speaking loudly about their complaints, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. In general, the staff rarely smiled, and the overall environment did not feel particularly welcoming. I believe there is room for improvement, especially in terms of communication with guests and creating a friendlier atmosphere. Based on my experience, I would not personally recommend staying here.
