Hostel Valentin 2

The Hostel is just few minutes walk away from the Skopje main bus station. Host Phillip was helpful and accommodating. Kitchen is available for cooking.

Very friendly owner, he can give useful advice, there are also many info about Skopje, bus timetables, etc. available. Rooms and common room are nice, clean and cozy, there was a great community among the travellers there. Fairly good location, very close to the bus station, and a short walk from the city center. Beds are comfortable, have curtains.

Nothing particular, the house block looks a little shady but I didn't encounter any danger, a resident even let me in because I forgot to write down the door code. For this price it was perfect.

Staff were very helpful and the check in was very quick.

A bit far out and difficult to find.

There's a manager! There now and the place has become less welcoming. I arrived early and wanted to leave my bag and use the toilet before going out shopping etc. The manager said OK for the bag and reluctantly let me use the toilet, then said abruptly come back at 2pm which is check-in time. I went back at 2pm and another guest let me in. The manager appeared about 2.20 to do check-in. Later I decided to have a shower but there was no hot water as it had been switched off and I had to wait a long time for the water to heat up.
