The property was in a beautiful setting with views over the sea. It was clean and well appointed. The pool and outside dining area were lovely and where we spent most of our time listening to the cicadas and the goat bells - just idyllic with the scent of jasmine and bouiganvillea drifting down from the path to the gate. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. In the living room is a huge comfy sofa and chairs. There’s air con in all the rooms except the bathroom. The washing machine was very useful. The beach is a short walk and there’s a supermarket a few minutes drive away. The location is great for exploring Crete. Nikolas our host was very responsive and helpful.

The beach is close but the walk to get to it isn’t pleasant. After descending the pretty but steep steps you fetch up on the rubbish strewn side of a busy road and then have to hoof it across a busy motorway to get to the beach, which to be fair is lovely and clean and not busy like some other beaches on the island can get. There’s a bridge and an underpass but they weren’t in use and the walk/motorway dash did kill the relaxed beach vibe a bit. I’d have preferred showers that were fixed to the wall that you could stand under rather than hand held. The kitchen is a bit small with very little counter space.

Exceptionally clean. We were there for 10 days and we had 2 cleans in that time. Lovely welcome basket Fantastic location - beach is very close and Kournas Lake is a short drive Incredible views Wonderful pool Friendly local cat visited occasionally 😀

Only small things to be aware of: The photos on the website show pictures for both villas. We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa but it was different to what we were expecting as the photos we had seen were from the 4 bedroom villa. Still very nice though. The hot tub is not 'hot'. We booked as my son gets cold very quickly so we thought he could move between the hot tub and the pool, however it uses the same water as the pool. The bubbles were nice though 😀

Location, amazing views.

Some minor pool issues otherwise everything top.
