Zámecký Hotel ANTON FLORIAN

The location of the Zámecký Hotel ANTON FLORIAN is exceptional: directly within the property of the Liechtenstein castle! It is modernized, with all the facilities one needs. The staff was helpful, and overall friendly. The beds were very comfortable, the room clean, and the breakfeast buffet good and sufficient. Altogether a pleasurable stay!

The hotel: Modern, clean, comfortable, with a lovely terrace. The shower could have had more pressure. As for the breakfeast there was (Sunday): eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese and several breads, pudding, on Monday somewhat less. The buffet automat coffee for me as a coffee lover could use improvement: was rather on the weak side. (optional espresso is available at the bar). Altogether: good. The castle: The biggest disappointment was out of control of the hotel: only czech speaking tours of the Valtice castle available! The tour is over an hour long and listening to a language one doesn't understand: rather strenous. No english, german or french. A print-out was available, however the czech tour guide visited the second half of the rooms in another order, making it difficult to follow (as an interested tourist). Suggestion to be passed on: Make earphones in several languages available! The castle itself is rather impressive! Valtice: There is a lovely square just outside the Valtice castle grounds, with church, museum, and restaurants and coffee shops: all well worth the visit!

The hotel is situated in a beautiful environment. The staff are helpful and pleasant. The restaurant is lovely, especially the terrace. The rooms are simply and tastefully furnished.

Although the bed was comfortable, the bathroom felt outdated and had an unpleasant odor. The room was excessively hot, making it difficult to sleep. The fan provided by the hotel was insufficient.

Great setup in a historic palace, with a really good restaurant and gentle staff. There's also a wine shop and a chocolate manifacture in the palace and organized tours to see the interiors, plus a huge park next to the location.

Lovely interesting building.

Would have preferred to have had a proper shower unit instead of a bath.
