Sagredo Traditional House

Nestled in the middle of the beautiful Nafplio ‘Old Town’ the house could not be better situated. There are steps, this is Nafplio, the side streets in the old town are all stepped and this is a large part of the charm. From the moment we arrived it felt warm, welcoming and just right. Everything about the property, the location and the suite felt natural, cared for and very very traditional. We were in suite 110. Beautifully furnished with everything we needed. A bedroom with a balcony, a bathroom, hallway and a sitting room with a fridge. The room had french doors and shutters to the balcony and shutters on all windows The balcony had a table and chairs for coffee or just sitting and taking in the town and a view over the street and steps below, and a partial view of the port in the distance. We felt the care and attention too with some lovely touches. There was a bottle of wine, breadsticks, sesame nibbles, croissants and treats waiting for us when we arrived. Dimitra and her son George were extremely helpful, guiding us to The property and suitable on street parking ( free) and in providing information when we needed it ( places to visit etc) Cats are part of Greece, and Nafplio doesn’t disappoint. They are there in abundance, with Sagrado having it’s ‘’own’ little family at the top of the steps outside. Nafplio itself is full of charm, beautiful, albeit a little disappointing to see a lot of graffiti in places which the local authorities really should address. Eating out is a dream, with restaurants, taverns, bars and grill houses everywhere. We can honestly say we didn’t have a bad meal, with prices ranging from c€45 to c€80 dependant on the type of meal chosen. Fresh fish is generally more expensive, but beautiful. Take a look at our pics, they tell the story better than words. If you’ve not been to Nafplio, go now! Make it a destination. You can tour by bus or hire a car, it’s up to you, but do see the sights.

No mention of steep steps difficult to manage with bags

A nice room at the perfect location! We had a room with a small balcony, and the bed just situated right in the room to enjoy the sunrise! The rooms were neat and clean and comfortable, we slept very well in the comfortable bed. The apartment had everything you need and the host offered great service and information whenever needed. Outstanding!
