The Igelbau is designed in a very rustic style with lots of wood. The living room offers a great view of the Rhön.
The following rooms are available:
• Kitchen-diner with oven and refrigerator, featuring a large dining area
• Living room with a children’s play area and satellite TV, plus a sofa bed that sleeps up to two people
• Bedroom with a double bed and a crib
• Bathroom (with natural light) with a shower and toilet
• Small entryway
Our farm is located on the outskirts of Sandberg and thus right next to the nature reserve. Not far from the Kaskadenschlucht Gorge and the Rotes Moor, it’s an ideal starting point for exploring the Hohe Rhön. Hikers can lace up their boots right away; glider pilots and skiers can reach the Wasserkuppe in just a few minutes; and cyclists can hop on their bikes immediately.
Relax after an active day in our fantastic sauna barrel.
Environmentally friendly thanks to biomass and solar thermal heating; electricity is largely generated by our own PV system. An electric vehicle charging station (AC Type 2 plug) is available for self-service at standard market rates. E-bikes can be charged free of charge.

Check-out is available between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Please contact us in a timely manner to arrange this, if necessary.
