The small village of Premantura is located at the beginning of the headland that leads to Cape Kamenjak. The cape marks the southern tip of Istria. The headland or peninsula is almost ten kilometres long and 1.5 kilometres wide. However, most of the peninsula is a nature reserve. Country lanes lead through a rugged rocky landscape overgrown with bushes and shrubs, at the end of which the Porer lighthouse towers above the peninsula, surrounded by bays with rocky and pebbly beaches. The distance to the nearest beach is approx. 0.5 km. The village centre with restaurants and supermarkets is approx. 200 m away.
