The space
Spiti Barbara is a 220-year-old authentic cave house designed for comfort, space, and privacy. Ideal for 2–3 couples, families, or a small group of friends, it accommodates up to 6 guests across 3 bedrooms, a living room, and generous indoor and outdoor areas.

The house features approx. 75m² of indoor space and ~80m² of outdoor areas, including two rooftop terraces with breathtaking views of the Caldera and a shaded courtyard with a mature olive tree—a peaceful and private retreat. A hot tub with a view provides the perfect spot to unwind.

Inside, one bedroom features a queen-size bed and a single bed (suitable for up to 3 guests), with an adjoining loft sleeping area for two. The third bedroom features a double bed and a private en-suite bathroom. In total, there are 3 bathrooms, including one located across the courtyard—a feature typical of the original cave house architecture. A fully equipped kitchen and living room complete the space. Heating is available for an additional fee.

The home has been carefully renovated to offer modern comfort while preserving its traditional Santorini cave house character.

Located in Firostefani, right on the Caldera, the house offers stunning views of the sea and the volcano. It is situated between Hotel Chic and Dana Villas, with taverns and small supermarkets nearby. Fira, the main town, is just a 10-minute walk along a scenic path.

Firostefani is centrally located, making it easy to explore the island on foot, by bus, or by car. The nearest beaches, Exo Gialos and Monolithos, are approximately 10 minutes away by car.

Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the entire cave house. The property is always rented to one group only, ensuring complete privacy throughout your stay. You’ll enjoy full use of both terraces, the private courtyard, and the jacuzzi—with no shared areas at any time.

Spiti Barbara is an exceptionally spacious cave house with large private terraces that are exclusively yours—a rare feature on Santorini. The additional courtyard offers even more privacy, creating a peaceful and secluded atmosphere. Since this is our private vacation home, the entire property is rented to only one group, ensuring complete privacy throughout your stay.

Please note that access to the house involves some steps, as is typical on Santorini, although fewer than at many other properties in the Caldera.
