Welcome to our four-bedroom home just outside the historic town of Romsey, nestled in picturesque Macedon Ranges countryside. Once the site of Cope Williams Winery, one of the region's original flagship wineries, Glenfern House has everything you need for your next getaway. This impressive rural home offers a perfect blend of country charm and modern comfort.
Key Features:
- Four Bedrooms, each with its own private ensuite (1 king bed and 3 queen beds). The base rate is for 4 guests which includes 2 bedrooms. To add a third bedroom you need to select 6 guests for the correct rate, and to add a forth bedroom select 8 guests.
- Accessible room: one of the bedrooms has wheelchair access, with handrails in the bathroom, and no steps to contend with.
- Cricket oval onsite just at the front of the house, with sporting equipment supplied.
- Landscaped gardens perfect for outdoor dining or stargazing.
- Fire Pit to toast marshmallows or share stories by a crackling fire.
- Stunning rural surrounds and picturesque countryside to explore.
- Smart TV with streaming services to enjoy a lazy night in, or keep the kids entertained.
- EV Charger under the carport.

As presented at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, this stunning accessible garden was auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the Dylan Alcott Foundation, and now we are proud to show it off to our guests.

It is in prime wine country, situated near fabulous wineries such as Midhill Vineyard, Mount Macedon Winery, Hesket Estate, Mount Monument Winery, Hanging Rock Winery, and Parkside Winery. For cider and beer check out Lost Watering Hole in Lancefield, Holgate Brewhouse in Woodend, or DV Cider in Darraweit Guim. For distilleries visit Big Tree Gin, Mountain Distilling, or Gindu. It’s the perfect base for a weekend of fine wine and food.

Glenfern House is a short drive to function venues including Cleveland Winery, Glen Erin, Lancemore Hill, Mount Monument, Cadella Park, Hedge Farm, Mount Macedon Winery, Cammeray Waters, and Lawson Lodge.
Surrounded by some of the Macedon Ranges best fresh produce, providores, farm gates, and markets to stock up at. Why cook though, when some of the regions best eateries are nearby, including The 1860 Romsey pub, Soltan Pepper, Lost Watering Hole Brewery, Lancefield Hotel, Spices and Pestle, Mount Monument Winery, Mount Macedon Winery, Mount Towrong Vineyard, and Kuzu Izakaya.
Attractions or activities nearby include Hanging Rock, Mount Macedon Memorial Cross, Sanatorium Lake, Romsey Ecotherapy Park, Trentham Falls, hiking trails such as Macedon Regional Park, great cycling routes and mountain biking tracks, several Golf Clubs, day-spas, yoga, local markets, art galleries, antiques, historic buildings, renowned gardens, mineral springs, and so much more.
This site was originally one of the Macedon Ranges premier wineries, Cope Williams, renowned for its Royal Tennis court and conference centre (note those buildings are not currently accessible as they will be undergoing restoration work over the coming months/years).

The base rate is for 4 guests which includes 2 bedrooms. To add a third bedroom you need to select 6 guests for the correct rate, and to add a forth bedroom select 8 guests. Maximum 8 guests total.
Pet friendly so you can bring your fur baby! Small house-trained dogs only, pets by prior arrangement, $25 flat fee. The property is not fenced and will not suit all dogs.
No parties, schoolies groups, 18th, 21st, hens, bucks, or other all-male groups.
Children must be supervised at all times.
Leave the property clean on departure, close to the way you found it as is standard with most holiday rentals (dishes, benches, rubbish, etc).
Please respect neighbours - no parties, no music outside, no additional sound equipment (DJ, PA etc), no noise after 10pm.
Complaint calls from neighbours incurs fees and may result in eviction. After hours call outs due to avoidable incidents caused by guests incur fees.
Pets by prior request only ($25 pet fee). Guests responsible for any damage or clean-up, see Pet Policy in House Rules. Small house-trained pets only.
