I've enjoyed my stay.

It is a nice and quiet place with friendly stuff...Liberty was very helpful and a nice guy. I recommend for others to try this place.

Great rooms and delightful breakfast

This was one of my favorite stays because it felt chill and quiet. The host and her family were helpful by providing extra bedding for one of my kids. We loved breakfast which was included with the booking. The chef was nice and did an excellent job.

Our room was a long distance from parking. We had a lot of luggage and it took us a few trips to get everything in and out. I wish the rooms were closer to parking. Great place though.

Dunkle Oude Schuur

Geräumiges Zimmer. Großes Badezimmer. Weinverkostung bei Ernie Els Weingut.

Zimmer und gesamte Anlage war sehr gruselig. Wenig Tageslicht. Mussten für Check in erst Personal suchen. Zugang zum gesamten Poolbereich ausgeschlossen, wenn man nicht gerne mit vier Wachhunden badet. Haben uns insgesamt nicht wohl gefühlt.

Gros problème d'odeur dans le logement

l'accès à la piscine spacieuse des propriétaires - le jardin privatif - l'emplacement - le matériel pour le braai - les bougies et lampes fournies pour le loadshedding

lorsque nous sommes arrivés dans le studio une forte odeur d'humidité se dégageait malgré l'aération et la clim portable, c'était difficilement respirable. Puis les canalisations se sont mises à sentir les excréments, nous avons dû faire venir les propriétaires qui heureusement nous ont trouvé un autre logement sans odeur malsaine. - il manque une climatisation, il fait trop chaud dans les chambres (+ de 30°) - pas de rideau sur la porte donc pas d'intimité et réveil avec le soleil à 5h du matin

I had a wonderful stay! I will definitely be back again.

The hosts were so accommodating as I had to do a very late check-in and they did everything possible to help me check in after 9pm at night. Thank you very much for going above and beyond, as I was staying over due to a wedding. I even asked for a late check-out the next day and was accommodated in that regard as well. The Stable room's amenities were great; well-equipped with an iron, hairdryer, enough multi plugs, an electric blanket and a small heater (it was chilly at night). I really love the open shower and the curtain separating the bathroom from the main room, it was a thoughtful nod to privacy while still keeping the room spacious with its open-plan layout. I only wish I could have stayed over a bit longer. All the staff and people on the property are very friendly, you feel very welcome as a guest (no matter the length of your stay).

I couldn't open the tea canister at all and there wasn't a pair of scissors in the kitchen. The complimentary rusks, water, and jam were a very nice touch though.

We would like to stay again as it suits our requirements. Liberty goes out of his way to make sure every one is comfort

location chosen to be near riding districts club So for us location is perfect. A quaint cottage and garden area.

Part of fence between properties was broken, which caused an issue. A quick temporary repair was done by Liberty the room co ordinator. 4 night stay. No welcome tea, coffee as advertised on arrival. No tea towels. We did ask and received both next day! 1 toilet roll for 4 days. On Saturday night we were kept awake most of the night by partying in the next door cottage. Other guests complained, but no apology from management to us, and no control by staff to quieten the noise levels. Totally unacceptable. An apology would have counted as sometimes these situations can arise. Advertised policy of no loud noise etc. .

It was good value for money but needs more safety and maintenance measures.

It was spacious. It had sufficient and extra bedding for various types of weather.

It did not have curtains on the main doors and main windows facing the outside and entrance of the property. Another guest got drunk and harassed us. The staff partied a bit loudly.

The hostess was wonderful, friendly, warm and helpful. The unit is beautifully decorated with class and style. If you don't stay here, you are missing out:).

No water for the time that we were there.

It was close to the venue where we attended a wedding, so the location was convenient. Clear instructions were provided to us in terms of accessing the property very late after attending the wedding, and we had no issues getting back into our property.

I am heavily pregnant (8 months) and we came through to Stellenbosch to attend a wedding, after which we needed accommodation nearby to rest afterwards. We only needed the basics - a hot shower, some water to drink and to brush our teeth with, a toilet to flush, and a bed. We didn't plan to linger the next morning. What we were not aware of at the time of booking, is that the property relies on a power source to provide the accommodation with water. Being in South Africa, this becomes complicated due to the loadshedding schedule. Upon check in, we were apparently informed of this however I was out of earshot - my partner went walking ahead with the staff and I only entered the room after this was mentioned. If I was given the choice, i.e. if this had been mentioned anywhere on the booking page, I would NOT have booked a place that did not guarantee me a hot shower after being heavy on my pregnant feet over a long event, before getting into bed. The power was out when we arrived back, from midnight until 4am, and AGAIN from 8am-10am. If I hadn't gotten up at 5am to shower, get my old makeup off, brush my teeth, use the toilet and rehydrate myself, then we would have gone the entire stay with dry taps. I went to bed dirty and uncomfortable, and we couldn't have gotten out of there sooner the next morning. There was no water to be seen, not even a courtesy bottle to drink from in the fridge/kitchen. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place to stay if you require even the most basic level of comfort.

It was a very reasonable price however surroundings seemed a little run down

Th e caretaker/manger Liberty was very helpful and friendly

I booked due to the swimming pool as I knew it would be hot the pool was green and unusable. It would have been good to have been told when we called in the morning before arriving to ask about beach towels. P

Cute cottage in a beautiful area

Cute and comfy cottage, conveniently located in a beautiful environment. Friendly and helpful staff. As an antiques family, we appreciated the decor. Netflix available. Excellent shower 🚿

Load shedding (not their fault) and no genset. Also, this is a country setting, so a mouse made an unexpected visit and made a snack of my suitcase.
