Everything at Villa Alegria is run with attention and care for the guests.

We stayed both in Villa Alegria as in Casa Alegria which both have their own charms. We preferred the casa because of the roof terrace and we liked the rooms a bit more BUT no worries if you book for the Villa, this one is nice as well ;-) The host, Irene, well what can i say...she's like a walking travel agency and has a superb netwerk all over the island. If you need things to be done, she will make it happen. Some ex: - Hiking in the Serra Malagueta (you can choose your own hike): she arranged a very reliable French/English/Portuguse speaking guide who has an incredible knowledge of the island. It seemed like he knew everyone where we came. His name Silvio. If you want to do something here, ask for him. PS: you can hike in the Serra alone, but with a guide you will go to places that you will not see on your own. - Arranging private transport: always reliable, English speaking persons with a normal driving style :-) - Arranging transport to other islands. It's not easy to get things done here. CVInterilhas website is not stable and Irene knows how to get you things done. - Tips for restaurant, food,..all spot on. We enjoyed the food here every day. - Problems of other kind? Irene will try to help you via her network. Her husband grew up here so things can be arranged a lot easier. - Transport to the airport, Irene. Aluguer is of course an option but you don't want to arrive late for you plane or ferry... Breakfast in both locations is in buffet style and is all you need: coffee/tea, 3 styles of cold drinks, milk and cereals, cheese/ham/salami, breads, eggs (boiled and mirror), fruits like banana, papaya, apples,...all you need. Location: quiet area, few 100m away from beach and restaurants. The best of both worlds ;-) Rooms: we stayed in 3 different rooms. One advise, take a room with airco. All rooms were spacy, clean and a lot of options. Fridge filled with free alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

If i have to write down one thing it's the room without airconditioning. If you have the option, take a room with AC. Nights are hot here and a fan doesn't cool the room and also makes noise. Of course this applies to all accomoditions so it's not a negative thing for this place. It's just an ocerall tip if you book a place in CV.

Location close to Tarrafal beach. Breakfast was very good. Mini fridge refilled every day for no extra cost was so so thoughtful, plus the bottle of wine to welcome us. The bathroom had shower gels, perfumes, shampoo, cotton buds, hair dryer, body lotion... it was all about great extras at this B&B. The place is also quiet and very relaxing. Irène is such a nice person, she organized a fishing trip for us. She was always offering great advice about literally anything 😄 and we can confirm her advice were worth it. Thanks again Irene and stay the same!

There were few mosquitoes in the room, unfortunately they could find their way under the mosquito net which was not large enough.

Irene is the sweetest host ! The breakfast is very good also. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need if you don't feel like eating out. The location is perfect. The pictures don't do justice to the villa. The place is way better in reality :-) I was pleasantly surprise when I saw the villa and the room!

The bathroom is on the first floor and the room on the second floor. That is not a complaint, just an information if it could be an issue for you.

We had a great stay at Villa Allegria. The host is very nice and helpful. Also the staff is very kind. Rooms are clean and cosy. You can tell they really care about their custumers. Thank you, Irene and staff!

  B+B Villa Alegria is a dutch run B+B and fitted to western european standards. Nothing but topclass, great breakfast, great hosts willing to answer and help with any question you may have. The minibar is filled everyday - free of charge. Staff very friendly. There is a lovely outdoor seating area in the front, all with good Wifi connectivity. The B+B is only a 5min stroll away to beaches (great for swimming and snorkeling) and restaurants serving fresh fish and more...  The B+B can also organize a local tourguide to walk in the mountains of the Serre Malagueta.   One of the payment options can be in Euro through your mobile internet banking app which saves carrying cash around all the time.   Highly recommended if you are looking for a relaxed, well pampered stay in Tarrafal.  

it was big nice and comfortable room! they have mosquitos net on the bed and on the door also! perfect and delicious breakfast! the location was near the beaches and restaurants. i just love the villa!! the owner : Irene and her husband José are very friendly and helpful! they gave us a lot of helpful informations. The staffs are also very nice!

To be I loved the whole house

Owners Irene and Jose are fantastic and welcoming hosts!! They go out of their way to make their clients feel welcome. They have so much knowledge of Tarrafal, gives great advice and they helped me and my fiancé with personal things I would never expect from a host, which makes me forever greatful!! Irene learned what I liked for breakfast and adapted the time for me to be able to get up later in the morning. When we wanted a early check in they responded immediately that we could come, that was most appreciated because usually places like this has strict rules about check in times. Everything we asked for they could help with! And they were available on what’s App as soon as I had questions! The bed & breakfast itself was in perfect location with walking distance to the beach and centre! Very clean and fresh rooms with a eye for detail regarding interior design! Comfortable beds, and a big plus for me was how the rooms had shower gels, shampoo and perfume you could use. Outside area where you could relax comfortably. WiFi worked perfect and the suite we chose had Netflix and air conditioning. We really had everything we needed in this lovely bed & breakfast. We will definitely come back!!

Second time for work in Tarrafal and Villa Alegria. Perfect breakfast. Helpfull and kind staff (had to change my tickets and taxi), who took care of my luggage. Extra fruit and juices in my room (for free), and a nice lunch for departure. A stay without worries.

For my work back to Caboverde.The third time at Villa Alegria. Still excellent. A little escape during these difficult times. The staff is so helpfull. The service still "on top".

Breakfast was awesome. We asked for vegan breakfast (one of us it is) and we could all try and enjoy every meal there! Adla was really nice. The house is decorated and cozy, clean and bright. And really close to the beach! It takes about 5 minutes to reach there. There were two security guys in front of the door and some cameras around the house.

Water pression. It was definitely not enough for 4 people, despite there was space for 4 more. We couldn't have shower properly due to the small pression and on the last day lack of it. The neighbourhood was apart from the centre. Despite Tarrafal is small, I wouldn't walk on my own on that street.
