Great bed and breakfast for a short stop in Anchorage.

It was a big space. Plenty of room to spread out. The breakfast provisions were excellent, bread, milk, juice, eggs, waffles, cereal, granola, yoghurt and butter, jam and peanut butter. The bed was comfortable with plenty of bedding. The towels were nice and soft. The central heating was fantastic too. Kitchen had everything you needed to cook, microwave, toaster, small oven and cooktop.

The shower 🚿, it was difficult to turn on and off (hubby had to do that for me) and get right temperature. Shower head had good pressure needed a clean and a bigger head would be better. Small tv and not many channels but good selection of dvds.

Quiet, comfortable, and close to everything in town. Just what we beeded.

Food provided was perfect! I enjoyed being able to make some eggs and toast before getting ready for the day and leaving the house.

Bed was a little firm. But everybody likes different firmness. So I'm sure there are others out there that loved the bed!

Quiet and spacious

Beautiful garden, quiet, very comfortable bed, spacious, host was lovely and had thought of everything. Breakfast provisions were generous.

Wonderful and hospitable experience.

Heather was a wonderful host it was like going to family or friends and staying the night giving you that warm feeling. She keeps a lot of healthy snacks and fruit in apartment. Everything and more you need to relax before or after a cruise. It sits in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of restaurants and even Walmart. Definitely recommend this jewel.

Great B n B wonderful host .

A great space provided . Heather provided an amazing variety of food for breakfast . Heather gave us great directions to get into town and was a wonderful host . We were offered use of their bikes if needed. Bed was so comfortable after days of exploring

Just that bit too far to walk from town . But the snow capped mountains along the way was amazing .

Clean and comfortable with fantastic breakfast options and amazing hosts.

This B&B was amazing. To say breakfast is included is an understatement. There was a fully stocked fridge and pantry. The hosts were amazing, incredibly lovely people. The room was comfortable and there was plenty of living space to relax in. Highly recommend for a clean, comfortable stay.

Hard to fault this property.

wonderful !

Very homey, pleasant unit, and lovely garden. fresh eggs, home made granola, delicious bread and all we needed for breakfast. Located within a walking distance or a short drive to town. On our last day Heather drove us herself to the RV rental and gave us lots of helpful tips. very friendly experience, can't wait for our next visit.

An lovely place to be in!

When we entered our unit we had a big smile on our faces. We knew we will enjoy our stay and remember it. The unit was spacious ,very clean with comfortable beds, very pleasant to be in and with a Hawaiian touch too. The kitchenette had all the facilities and had everything we could have needed for a good breakfast. The owners very friendly, helpful and gave us some good local tips. Thanks for making our stay awesome!

A lovely place to stay especially after travelling for such a long time from the U.K.

Everything in fridge to help yourself to a substantial breakfast. Far more homely than staying in an impersonal hotel. Being able to come and go as you please, make cups of tea etc. Heather is a fine host for a B&B, friendly, helpful, kind and informative.

Refrigerator was fully stocked with fresh fruit, homemade granola, yogurt and fresh eggs. Very large living area with dining room kitchen and living room. Bed was very comfortable.

This was a relaxing place to end my Alaska vacation.

I appreciated the spaciousness, the breakfast, and the bed.

I didn’t have a car and Uber was a bit costly. Taking the bus was a better option.

Lovely location, huge apartment, immaculately clean and masses of delicious breakfast items. Heather the owner takes great pride in providing a high standard of hospitality and is extremely welcoming.

Best stay of our 2 and 1/2 week AK tour

There are many things to like. The owners are fantastic and provided fresh eggs from their chickens, fresh honey from their bees, fresh fruit, fresh bread, and information/suggestions. Great place to start from and the location was perfect. From our experience, it is within easy reach of Witter Glacier Cruise, Eagle River Nature Center, and points between.

Exceptional

It turned out to be an entire apartment, not just a room, with a nice garden outside and free parking for our rental. Plenty of breakfast and neat and clean. We felt very welcomed and had a lovely stay.

We will come again!

Heather was an extraordinary host who gives a lot of good advices and cares for everything. Our flight arrived in the morning and it was not a problem to check in already at noon. The apartment is huge and has a perfect kitchen. In the fridge is food (f.e. cornflakes, milk, joghurt, bread, jam) for breakfast. Into downtown Anchorage it is a nice walk of approximately 30 minutes.

The apartment is downstairs and the walls in the building are not that thick, so you hear movement and sounds from upstairs.

A perfect place to stay in Anchorage

Gardenside was exactly what we were looking for: large, comfortable, well equipped space in a location close to Anchorage. Heather was always available to answer all our questions, never steering us wrong with her recommendations. We loved the refrigerator stocked with healthy choices for breakfast: granola Heather made, sweetened by honey from her bees, fresh bread, cereal, eggs, and of course coffee - we could eat when and what we wanted. A perfect place to stay in Anchorage.
