Very good
The staff was exceptional. We lost our phone on out transport to the airport. The hotel located the phone, sent it on the next boat, and delivered it to us in the airport! We will be forever loyal and grateful for that! Incredible service. The fellow travelers were equally kind and interesting…eager to share a quick chat, which made for a lovely communal spirit on property without sacrificing privacy we might desire for special trips. The food was wonderful. The drinks were delicious. The pools and placement above the beach were stunning. Loved the ambience provided by the background music. Their menus were quite diverse…with a healthy, innovative spa menu and a traditional one as well. The coffee was spectacular…homemade breads and smoothies delicious. Their smoky drinks were entertainment in presentation and delicious. The property lives like a new resort by the beachfront….we spent most of our time there. The lobby and back rooms felt a little tired, but again, you can adjust the amount of time you spend there and truly unravel on day one. Time slows at COMO. A short stay of 2-3 days feels completely rejuvenating. And the sunsets!
When we return, we will be sure we book a 2nd floor room. With little insulation between floors, we heard active guests above us early in the morning and late at night….pacing, it seems. The rooms are ready for a refresh, but after a thoroughly enjoyable day on the resort, the welcoming space (rooms are large) and soft lighting makes up for the small infractions on the design/upkeep front. Beds are a bit firm and pillows are “tall” so def. call for softer, low profile pillows if that is your preference. And use the bug spray as soon as you arrive. They do a very diligent job trying to minimize the pests, but it is the Caribbean, so just be prepared and use the big spray.

Extremely beautiful beaches and ocean colors
Food options need to be better. It would nice if they had a small convenience store so that people could buy snacks etc.

Fabulous
A spectacular location, world-class property. Loved the vibe and the aesthetic. Beautifully manicured grounds, great fitness centre, amazing beach. If you want relaxed and private, look no further. The trip there by boat is surreal. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, particularly Harry, Minas and Miroslav. Great ambassadors for the brand. Loved using the bikes to do our daily peddle around the island. A great place to be.
As a Canadian, paying 36% exchange on the US dollar and another 22% in US dollars for tax and service charges on everything proved quite shocking (i.e., over $200.00 Canadian a night for tax and service charges on just our room fee, not to mention food). Breakfasts were included - delicious. We refrained from lunch, abstained from drinks and often split a modest dinner, eating off the beach bar grill menu (less expensive), all of these efforts still didn't spare us the shock and this diminished our enjoyment of the overall experience. The food was good, not great, with a few exceptions. The upside was we lost weight. Unfortunately for us this rules out a return visit to T&C. Also note: The biting sand flies were relentless. I seemed to be a magnet for these irritating pests. I stopped counting after 30+ burning, itching welts. I used bug spray, but it didn't seem to help. I came prepared, but didn't find any of my sprays really worked. They're small and sneaky so bring your own allergy medications, etc.
