Excellent location directly on Ngor beach, simultaneously tranquil but in the heart of the action. Big room, well-decorated, and large pool. Good food at the restaurant. Overall, a very option to stay in Dakar.

Some staff were helpful, but some were very unhelpful (approaching surly).

Very nice location and they were able to accommodate us quickly. The pool was great, the access to the beach and to Ngor Island very easy. The staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was good too.

The location was good, staff was aslo very helpful. Room were good, cleanliness also good just as per the pictures seen.

Should add basic facilities like dental kit, shaving kit, shoe polish, sewing kit etc. so that additional comfort is received. Toilets - jet bidet sprays shoult be installed for - Asian and Ethnic Gulf customers; toilet papers just don't work well for us. rather we find it disgusing. Some doors were not closing in the bathroom (however it was a small issue that can be resolved within 5 minutes, so not very important)

I have stayed in Dakar before and seen La Madrague from the outside. It is located adjacent to a beach opposite the island of Ngor. It is a lovely view and, for me, well situated. It is far enough from the city centre to be relatively peaceful but close enough to other facilities, restaurants, clubs etc for there to be variety. The hotel pool was meticulously clean, the food available from the restaurant was very good and the other residents were quiet, polite and well behaved.

There was no hot water although I have to admit that the cold water wasn't too cold, actually tepid, and didn't present a problem washing and showering. I would have liked to have hot water to shave in the mornings. Being used to European hotels I really missed having a kettle in the room and, being a Brit, that is essential to have a cup of tea first thing in the morning. However it did not spoil my stay there.
