4th stay. It was as always a great stay. From the room, the food to the staff. The staff make this hotel the best.

From the moment of booking, the staff reached out & offered any support ie. time of arrival; any spa or special trips etc. We got excellent help from the reception & concierge team (shout out to Dean). We were upgraded too, but honestly it was a beautiful hotel, so spacious & well appointed in every way. Room service was fabulous too, lots of choice, amazing quality & arriving promptly. We ordered a car to take us on a trip & one to go back to the airport. So easy. Staff were exceptional & the epitome of 5star service!
Only regret it not staying for longer at this hotel. We feel we missed out.

The pleasant and friendly service from the staff at the the front desk and check-in. Quick and efficient check in.
Very quiet rooms and very comfortable beds.
The hotel location in the financial district was very central with easy means of transportation.
I wish the hotel website or on other booking websites or the hotel staff at the time of checking in would inform us that the afternoon tea which has excellent reviews, needed 48 hours in advance reservation.

Nice room
Felt like the lobby staff/ concierge was looking at me and my friends like weren’t guests at the hotel? They asked us every time if we have a room key?! As south Asian females we Felt somewhat racially profiled. Constantly getting stares at by the lobby staff and we weren’t even bringing any attention to us or talking loud. In short , I don’t think I will be staying here again due to the staff constantly staring at us and being a part of a minority group I didn’t feel comfortable which was kind of disappointing. Other than that- the hotel is beautiful and very luxurious.

modern, clean, good location
Unable to use a lot of the hotel facilities due to TIFF film festival, a lot of areas were closed off to guests, obstructed from moving around hotel and questioned often by security guards as we weren’t there for the film festival. Struggled to get a table even to get a cocktail to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Very disappointing experience compared to stay at the london branch in the shard.

3 night stay commencing Monday 26 September , Robert from front desk team.
Roberts very welcoming reception and subsequent attention to detail, did not go unnoticed by my wife and I.
He behaved as an ambassador for both the hotel and Toronto,

The hotel is a 5 star and is such. Elegant looking and very clean.
The service. Customer service was horrible. Just horrible. They act like you should be lucky staying there and have an attitude like your staying at the Shangri-La and you should be privileged.
We had an issue with a sofa bed that wasn't working and they transferred us to another room but it took them over an hour to do it. If was 1030 at night and our kids were sleepy. And the other room was literally next door. So they knew it was available they just took their time to do the switch. They said they were busy but how can you be that busy at 1030 at night. Plus I went down and saw that there were 3 staff on staff on duty and only one was attending to someone.
I asked for the manager 3 times and he/ she never came up to talk to me. It's like they thought they'll just let it pass.
Have stayed here several times in the past but won't again.
There are similar better options that provide excellent customer service and 5 star facilities. Like the Ritz-Carlton as an example. Very very disappointing and unexpected experience for a 5 star hotel.

I liked the location and cleanliness of the hotel—friendly staff upon check-in. The housekeeping staff were pleasant and prompt as well.
The room was not dark enough during the night - frosted glass from the bathroom had minimal/natural light that created too much light for our desired likeness.
