Staff by the pool, cars to beach, room, property, niceness.
Make sure the robes are in the rooms each day. We also had some bugs in the room - watch for those too.

The whole property was breathtaking and the rooms were beautiful.

EVERYTHING! From check-in to check-out, everything at this hotel is worth celebrating. The premises itself are stunning and the facilities are wonderful. The hotel employees were friendly, gracious and helpful. The rooms themselves are large and have everything one would need for a comfortable stay - including complimentary snacks and drinks. The pool area is perfect to relax and enjoy the sun with poolside service. The shuttles are also convenient to take away the stresses of driving and/or parking. Having beach access with loungers and an umbrella just down the hill was also a pleasant treat. We also loved the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel.
I wish we could have stayed longer. :)

Amazing experience, elegant hotel full of initiatives and incredible care of the customer’s needs, a real resort in Maui.

Stunning water feature and grounds. Adorable lovebirds in the bar. Incredible view. Inviting public spaces decorated beautifully. Amazing gym. Exceptional staff - except one guy. (I’ll explain below.) Phenomenal dinner at the restaurant.
Not enough signs to find things. (Gym/Wellness room) Maybe do a little more at check in to orient guests? And just a suggestion, but I’d add a phone in the gym. There was a huge rain storm and water was coming down from the ceiling and close to the power outlets in the floor. I would have called the front desk, but no idea how to do so. Also, in an emergency, what would I do? You have a lot of older guests and I watched one really pushing it on a Peleton bike. He could have easily over exerted himself. Maybe add an AED too? Maybe I’m overly concerned, but even a simple placard that says who to
call if you need anything on the refreshment counter would help. I think it would help at check in too to ask if the guests need dinner reservations at The Restaurant. We had a text arrive a couple hours later and I was concerned we weren’t going to get in.

the property is simply perfect. The staff are the best I’ve ever experienced in all my travels. the rooms are comfortable and appointed with everything you might want. Even though we had torrential rain for our entire trip (sub optimal indeed) the beauty of the place and the whales in the distance made our holiday restful and easy.
the prices in Maui are shocking. this hotel is no exception.

Our second visit to Hotel Wailea after 4 years. Great hotel. Service level is world class. Restaurant best in maui. Great pool and poolside bar - barman is hilarious, like really good improvised theatre. Love the peaceful gardens - away from the beach but courtesy cars make this not a problem. Suites are superb - beautifully designed - those with sea views are perfect for sunset lovers.
Going away!😂

staff generally very good, especially front desk, concierge team and by the pool. pool area lovely and good cocktail bar. birdcage bar area great. rooms very spacious
restaurant general manager was very poor and not what expect of 5 star hotel. waited for 45mins post our table reservation and then told nothing he could do as the previous group had taken longer

Great friendly welcome, all pre-arranged activites were gone through at check-in, and suits are very nice and kept up well, great food in restaurant and very nice gardens and bar area. Staff was very friendly and helpful all way around.

Quiet and relaxing
Very minor complaint - location on a hill makes walks down to the beach a little long (and a bit strenuous) but the shuttle service generally makes the trip easy.

Second time staying at Hotel Wailea. Best hotel in Maui. Quality of the rooms, fantastic views throughout the property, perfectly sized facilities, attention to details and great staff.

Very calm, few guests/m2 unlike other 5 stars. The bar with the view is the best on the island clearly. Rooms are in a perfect condition and very clean and very well designed. The included snacks and beverages are a big plus.
maybe could have better TVs idk but everything is still perfect

The room was amazing and the views were great. The pool area was a bit small, but never ended up crowded. The food at all three locations (pool, birdcage, and restaurant) was exceptional though a bit pricey. The cocktails were top notch.
Getting to the beach was fairly easy via the shuttle, but not as convenient as staying on the beach. We didn't like the beach the hotel defaulted to as much as some of the others in the area.

We rented 3 rooms for our family. One room had a noxious odor, one room had a leaking toilet which took 2 days to remedy and one room had a rat. We left the property mid way of our 4 day stay in Maui
