Worst NYC hotel experience, don’t go here
The location of the hotel is nice. Overall, the hotel is clean and modern.
I had a fare with all taxes included and was still charged additional 650$. The hotel charged me the taxes and fees a second time. The restaurant and other services have hidden taxes, that you won’t even know about. My 150$ amount in breakfasts nearly doubled after all the taxes I never knew about. Also the hotel charges a destination fee of 170$. It is a separate charge that you can’t avoid. It gives you benefits such as free bike pass and movies in the room. Firstly, it absolutely does not worth it. However, most importantly, I was told upon arrival that those benefits were a compliment included in my fare and only when I left I found out that there is a fee to pay for the “free included” benefits. Also a room service employee, who brought me breakfast in the room was supposed to take several positions of the bill, since I didn’t order them, but he never did it and I was still charged. When I called the hotel to figure out all the charges the employee on the phone was mean and impolite. The manager of the hotel sent me an email afterwards just to blame me, for not checking their website to find out about destination fees. To conclude, employees are unfriendly, there are hidden fees and the hotel will try to make as much money on you as they can.

A few fixes to make it great.
Great gym. Excellent restaurant. Nice front-desk staff. Very clean rooms.
Housekeeping kept “missing” things — no clean glasses, didn’t pick up used glasses, robes without ties, etc. Pillows seemed uncomfortable. Clearly, a personal opinion.

Great location and very comfortable beds
The location is great and the staff were excellent, especially Sasha at the front desk. The room as very comfortable and the bathroom huge with a great walk-in shower. The breakfast was excellent. It was a short walk to everything we wanted to see. Highly recommend.

sucks, worst value I have ever gotten from a hotel in NYC
nothing
the hotel lacked any place to put your clothes. the bed was on the floor like a futon, the airconditioning did not work, and the elevator lobby had M&M's drawn by children on the walls in chalk. For the money this was absurdly overratted. I would not have paid $200 for this if I had known. The website photos are horibly missleading

50/50 Location is Good, but there is Noise
The location is great, staff was very friendly and approachable. I requested a small compliment to celebrate my husband's birthday, and the staff went above and beyond. It was a very nice touch to our arrival :). The room itself was spacious, which was unexpected in NYC. All amenities looked and felt clean.
We got a room with the city view, but the window was horribly stained and obstructed that said view. To make it even worse the curtain in our room did not go up, so we could not enjoy any view. The hotel is located in the center of NYC and there was a lot of noise at night, it was hard to fall asleep, it was ok for a few nights stay but might not be ideal for someone who stays longer. Also they did not have a coffee machine or even tea in the room, I had to call to ask for a kettle, which came without mugs or tea bags, this is cheap for a hotel like that.
