Worst customer service after my stay. Passed around for a wrong charge between Booking.com and property. Unprofessional!

My husband & sons Alaskan experience in Ketchikan at The Ketch Inn turned out to be the highlight of their travels over the last 3 months. The people at The Ketch Inn were so accommodating and went over & beyond for them during their stay. The view of the sea & the mountains from their freely upgraded room was just magnificent!
As a mom looking over her family from far far away, I want to say thank you to everyone at the Ketch In for looking after my family for me! They have had nothing but praise for you, the Inn they’re 5 days spent here.
Another big thank you to Captain Todd from Fishing Carters (@fishingchartersketchikan) and Nolan from Alaska Strike Zone (Alaska Strike Zone Sportfishing) for their truly amazing hospitality and teaching my son to fish!

Office staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Particularly enjoyed the quiet waterfront view from our lanai. Property was clean and well maintained but not pretentious.
The restaurant on site was barely operational. First morning, there was no food to speak of and two staff members didn’t even acknowledge us when we came in. One finally apologized for the state of the buffet and offered to prepare some eggs. Second morning, buffet was at about the standard of “free breakfast” offered at other hotels but cost us $20/person. Never went back.
Out of town location was pretty isolated for people w/o their own transportation. A formal bus stop located near head of driveway would have made the town and sites of Ketchikan more accessible.
On second day, apparently there was some emergency plumbing issue in our building and water was turned off when we got back to our room. It was eventually remedied but a note on our door warning us of the inconvenience would have helped.

The staff was amazing! We enjoyed it, fantastic location.
No mini fridge, microwave or hair dryer if those are important to you. Also the toilet was very dirty when we checked in.

I was offered rooms with a water view and what we got was 3 rooms with staircase view.
Would have known that, would have reserved a hotel downtown closer to the bars and restaurants.
Breakfast was not available and the Restaurant was closed

Well kept clean place. Rooms are small but nice. Restaurant is currently closed. They will give you a ride into town and pick you up but it is a a 35 minute walk to town.

Meals at the restaurant were quite good...Ate there 4 times for dinner. Location slightly out of town was quiet and lovely.
To have daily room/linen service one had to ask....but that wasn't conveyed at first, so did ask and after that it went well.

It had a nice view from some of the rooms
It was NOT clean. First room had a broken bed frame that nearly caused bodily injury when my husband sat down on the bed. They changed our room to one that was not clean. Trash on the floor, poop in the toilet. Balcony chair was broken. Just a disaster.

We enjoyed that there was a marina and you could explore outside. It was nice the shuttle was willing to take us to town and pickup. That there was a restaurant on property. We liked that there was an ice maker and mini fridge. They gave us extra towels and pillows when needed without complaint. Friendly staff
Although there is probably rarely a use for a fan it would have been nice even to have a ceiling or floor fan due to the abnormally hot day.

Complimentary breakfast was so convenient.
Love the location away from downtown.
Our lights didn't work.
Not enough towels in the room.
And no remote for the tv.
Tried to talk to the front desk about it but he didn't seem to care.
