Everything! The fabulous and oh so knowledgeable guides who conduct the game drives. The hotel services staff. The gardens and the beautiful public rooms. This was our second visit - and there will be a third.

Having to leave !!

The place is a little bit old, even though it makes the place very unique. The stuff were very kind and we got very good service which made our stay very calm and comfortable. The fire during night and the way that staff treated us and served us was beyond our expactations.

Poor backup power in rooms so could not charge phones etc and get coffee in room when power off..expected much more from such a top class facility.

Awesome team, excellent food and fantastic game drive. Very quiet area, as this is not open to regular day visitors, you are alone there with the nature.

River Bend is one if only two lodges actually located within Addo, and is definitely worth it! Our house with the two rooms for us and the kids was perfect, even though we ended up spending little time in the rooms as there was so much to do, especially the fantastic game drives. The pool, breakfast space outdoors with a view of the water hole, and the gardens are gorgeous, and everyone super friendly.

VERY EXCEPTIONAL - a wonderful experience at this very stunning place. Wonderful setting and beautiful garden and surrounding. Super friendly and welcoming hostess and her team. The staff exceptionally friendly, helpful and attentive and so much hospitality. Perfect service from beginning to end - we felt very special. Absolut delicious food - great compliment to the chef. Darlington and Leo gave everything on the game drives to show us the vast variety of wildlife in the park. The perfect place to explore the park. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Everything - the stay was from beginning to end a wonderful experience. The staff is loaded with great hospitality, all food is very good and the game drives were amazing. Chris took all the time needed to find some beautiful species in the private part of Addo. Because this wasn’t open to regular day visitors, we were literally the only in the field, which gave the whole weekend even a better once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Nothing - everything was good and handled perfectly by the staff.

On booking.com total charge said including all fees and taxes yet an amount was deducted for SANParks concession fees which is not mentioned in the policies write up

We have been to quite few game lodges and boutique hotels but this one is the best. Debbie is amazing and treated us like royalty. The staff made us feel incredibly welcome and special. They are so friendly and they spoil you every chance they get. The food is delicious and the game drives were awesome. Chris is a an absolute bird specialist and it was a dream to chase birds and learn about the reserve. This is a private concession and we saw around 20 elephants at the waterhole and lions on one of the game drives. The garden is an oasis for bird watchers. Addo main camp is about 10mins away for those who like to self drive.

It was absolutely wonderful, an amazing location in a beautiful surrounding. Room with a great view. Amazing staff, outstanding service. Best game drives!!!!

Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful

Everything was absolutely amazing! Staff, food, accommodation, game drives - 10 out of 10!! Thank you Riverbend for making us feel super special! We can't wait to visit again. The game drives were an absolute highlight - especially the night drive, star gazing was next level - thank you for teaching us so much Chris :-)

I can't fault anything.

We had a lovely stay at Riverbend. The staff were exceptional, they were all friendly and very accommodating, always going the extra mile for us. We also noticed and appreciated the attention to detail in our room and around the lodge.

Outstanding breakfast. Location is convenient but power lines are unsightly
