Beautiful location on the beach
dilapidated, badly in need of an update, huge cockroaches in the toilet, food extremely slow to come and very basic.

This was the BEST stay I have had in Diani! Stacey was an amazing host, who took care of all of our needs from late check-in and dinner to decorating the rooms for our friends' birthdays. The rooms had spacious bathrooms with hot water, fans, smart mosquito netting, and comfy beds. The place is gorgeous - all one floor with picturesque coastal architecture - the rooms surround a courtyard that opens out to the the pool, which was clean, the perfect size and depth, and surrounded with lounge chairs. At the other end of the pool is the beach, where they have a covered beach patio with coaches and tables and other private, cozy beach sitting area right on the beach (they have chairs, a swing and couches). The beach was quiet and there were far less sea urchins than in other areas of Diani, which made exploring the ocean much easier and I would say also would be ideal if you had children with you too! The chef, Rashid, makes delicious versions of all local coast dishes, we barely felt the need to leave the hotel. We felt like we were in paradise and our whole group of 5 had only wonderful things to say - we can't wait to go back!

It wasn't what I expected but I their food was nice my kids enjoyed every meal, the staff are flexible in all that they do, I loved the beach too
In rooms something should be done, atleast a guest should be offered a toothbrush

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food is always well presented and very tasty. The staff all took great care of me, going above and beyond to make sure I had what I wanted, including Stacey the manager calling me one evening when I was very late at work to check I was ok, and other days to get my meal order which I had forgotten to place in advance. Much more like a homestay than a hotel. The views are stunning, like being in a postcard. I can't wait to go back.

The staff was very kind and helpful, especially Tracey.
The cheff was very kind, during our 3-day-stay, we tried almost everything from the menu, and each meal was perfect.
The location is very nice, it is directly on the beach.
Electricity was available all day.
The pool is also very nice, and the place was very clean, someone was continiously cleaning.
We could not pay by card.
There are not air-condition in the rooms, and there was hot (but it was tolerable)

Location was perfect -not far off the road but right on the beach.
Room was not as private as we had hoped as it was right next to the kitchen.

Friendly staff, quiet environment.
It is a real beach house so don’t expect too much comfort. Rooms don’t have real windows just glass panels. No AC so rooms can get really hot, because it sometimes doesn't cool down in the night. The hotel is by the beach, but beach boys have put up a little shop right by the entrance. It is impossible to access the beach without being harassed. We found this very tiring, and started to avoid this area. Some will come talk to you each time you take a walk on the beach or want to go for a swim in the sea.

How do you rate such a place? Located in Msambweni, on the calm side of Kwale County, SawaSawa beach house is a hidden gem of the coast. Even from the inquiry stage, we got the feeling of ease, that countionued for our 10 days of true serenity stay. The hotel itself is not big, but well equipped with large spotless rooms/bathrooms, common areas where you find pool (ideal for low tide hours) and lounge areas for you to enjoy sunrise/sunset, play boardgames or just chill. Strolls up and down the beach, to the end of the reef on low tide, or through the village was pure joy..! The menu is well designed, so both adults and kids will always have smth of their taste. Feeling safe in every sense (and quite pampered to be honest), we had the opportunity to truly rest!
To sum it all, with the most important note: the people make this place of what it is! Stacey, Ezekiel, the Chef and Alex are not just employees doing their best, they are genuine, kind people & we truly hope that we'll meet again ❤️
Not a single thing - everything was perfect!

The peace and quiet of the place it a great hide a way and untapped gem for sure less touristic.
Stacey,Ezekiel, the chef and Alex were amazing hosts ensuring every guest no matter who it was was well catered for and were comfortable
Stacey was always at hand to suggest and link up with resources to help with activities such as Wasini Day trip,Village Guided tour
The Decor of the place was fantastic and the reading spaces plus the outdoor sitting spaces
The fact that the beach and ocean had lots of sea weed and was rocky not swimming friendly

Absolutely beautiful place and super friendly staff. It‘s perfect to relax, just don‘t expect any kind of party/bar around. It‘s just beautiful and quiet
All is great - except you expect any nightlife. There is nothing around

Ms Wanga and her team were great, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They are all very friendly and accommodating. Has a relaxing ambience, a little hidden gem in Msambweni.
Breakfast was monotonous as it was the same every morning. It would be great to have something different / variety each morning to keep it interesting
