One of my best Africa experiences ever. Extremely friendly staff, helpful and fun.
The day tour to Chobe. If it was handled by die River Lodge Staff it would have been amazing. The company that facilitate the day trip and their staff I rate a 0/10 except for the buss operator. He was very nice.

The river lodge was the best (of many) lodges we have stayed in. The accommodation was superlative huge bed, mozi net, a/c, outside shower - just brilliant. Location can not be beaten: on the banks of the Zambezi facing North.
Food was exceptional - breakfast, lunch (same menu each day) and dinner (different menu each day). Of particular mention are the soups which were varied and delicious.
River cruising & game driving all excellent as was our early morning trip to the falls where we had the park more-or-less to ourselves!
A minor issue - we were on the all-inclusive package but the package-drinks selection was a bit limited. Wine list excellent so went off-package a couple of times.

This was straightforwardly the best hotel or resort Iâve ever stayed at. Truly everything was taken care of and included in the cost of the stay. There were astounding game shows and river boat cruises at no additional cost twice per day â we were there for just two days and saw a lion, giraffe, countless hippos, impala, wild boar, and crocodiles. The food is on par with high end new york restaurants (where weâre from), served thrice a day, and also included in the price of the stay. I canât emphasize this enough â three course meals for breakfast and lunch, four course meals for dinner. Any outing we wanted to go on, we just mentioned it to the staff and they handled everything â including driving us to the falls and touring us around, taking us canoeing, having a nurse come to the resort for our COVIDâ19 test and really anything else. The resort itself could not be more beautiful. The interior design is impeccable, and the restaurant, check in areas, and rooms are all melded beautifully with the setting. The resort is on a national park, so wildlife abound â I regularly saw warthogs and impala while just walking from my room to dinner. Finally, and most importantly, the staff are some of the most warm, kind, and outgoing people Iâve met in a hospitality setting. Weâd particularly like to thank:
Guides
Faithy and Polite
Waiters
Francis, Dickson, and Gervasio
Housekeepers
Owen and Makhosi
Front desk
Nk and Sensi
Each of you went way above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and that everything we could possibly need was taken care of. This was a trip weâll remember for the rest of our lives, all thanks to you.
