Relaxed stay in well-appointed guesthouse

A beautifully-appointed guesthouse, both conveniently located for King Shaka Airport but also chilled and quiet due to its Umhlanga location - just metres from the beach. Our family party really enjoyed the relaxed garden area and pool - and the associated ‘honour bar’ for drinks was a thoughtful touch.

Perfect stay

The guesthouse was in a great location and the facilities were perfect and the staff were friendly and efficient.

Nothing to comment on what we did not enjoy. It was a great stay.

Beautiful design and tranquil setting

I have stayed here multiple times. It is beautifully decorated. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very functional. Love all the small touches, like the home made rusks. Love the breakfasts. It has a beautiful garden and is in walking distance from the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Lovely place, lovely staff!

Very nice rooms and big bathrooms. I loved the decor, the garden, the pool etc. Breakfast was also lovely and the staff were very helpful 👍🏼

The parking situation is a bit tricky, but other than that I have no complaints!

Awesome. We loved it.

What a lovely place. It was a pity we stayed there only one night as we would like to enjoy it a bit more. Really nice room very well equipped and with all details. We had three, one was huge and the other two right size. Delicious breakfast. Magda was super friendly and helping us with everything. Marvelous garden and pool. Easy access to a very close beach. Based on a very nice neighborhood. We have to come back.

We will definitely stay at this guest house on our next stay over in the area

Top class breakfast served in a lovely dining area. Very good table service by friendly staff. Great selection at the breakfast buffet and the cooked breakfast was outstanding. Lovely background music which created a tranquil atmosphere. The room was well appointed with all that you could possibly need. Generously sized bathroom plus a well appointed kitchenette. Entrance was via a private patio and on-site parking was secure. Highly recommended

Fantastic stay at Maidom H

Really excellent property with superb staff and lovely rooms. On one morning, we had an early excursion, and they catered for a late breakfast for us. Also provided a barbecue with all the equipment for us.

Amazing! This guesthouse is absolutely beautiful. Everything is perfectly maintained and it has a lot of charm. The hosts and the staff are lovely. The guesthouse it exactly as shown on the pictures. The location is great as well, it is a short drive away from the beach and a nice restaurant/bar area where you can walk around. The rooms aver very nice and spacious. If you are looking for a nice, charming place you should come here.

Lovey stay with Lovely people in a Lovely Place!!!!

Lovely staff, Claude, Debbie, Marta, Alex and even Tiffy made this stay wonderful! Breakfast was delicious and the pool was great! The place was extremely well decorated and the staff were so friendly and flexible with us.

Claude and Magda were so friendly. I had a problem with prepayment but they allowed me to pay when I arrived. Amaising views! Cleanliness!

Very spacious, exceptionally clean, staff were so attentive especially Claude who was meticulous and thorough in his work. cannot fault the kitchen staff for the excellent breakfast each morning.

We had a very friendly greeting when we arrived and help with our luggage. Our room was spacious, clean with fresh high quality linen. A spacious bathroom with shower and bath. A bonus was to find that when we returned from breakfast our room had already been serviced. It won't take us long to look for accommodation if we return to Durban. Maison H will be top of the list.

Absolutely recommend staying here!

i was pleasantly surprised by the size if the cottage i stayed in. A lot bigger than the idea i got from the pics. Honestly could not ask for more with the price i was paying. It was lovely and Claude is a fantastic person (even gave me a collectable gift after we had some chats about common interest).

Beautiful home away from home - with everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay, loved the soothing sound of the fountains! Delicious breakfast served on the stoep overlooking the tranquil garden. Friendly hosts and staff! Highly recommend this establishment.
