Awesome time and would definitely go back! Great location! Loved it there.
Loved the cabin, loved the location. Had a great time there.
When we arrived there were no directions or instructions other than the few things written down on paper attached to the refrigerator on how or where to take the garbage. No local emergency numbers or anything like that, that I could find. They did post the management company number but my phone didn't work there alot. There were several maps of the area that we found in a drawer later. No internet, no wifi, I knew this going in. No TV, (even though there was a wireless TV there) with no instructions or anything indicating how to use the TV so you didn't know if it was working or not, even though there was an antenna the size of Rhode Island on the roof and a satellite dish. Ok no problem on the TV. Couldn't get the grill to light. After we left the cabin for the day I got a text through to the management company who answered back right away and told me the TV service was not connected. And he would be happy to send someone out to check the grill, which I said no as we were only there one more night. The place was spotlessly clean and fairly roomy. If you have kids or another couple sharing the cabin the loft really makes the sleeping arrangements nice. The only other thing missed were some lamps for reading. There wasn't a place where I could sit and read. The heater worked great but again no instructions on how to use it. This was our first trip to Maine and I loved this cabin, the things I mentioned above are things that if corrected (I understand there are new owners) I could give this cabin an exceptional rating. Keep in mind there is no internet or WIFI there at this time (especially if you have kids) but that is part of getting off the grid and enjoying the outdoors. Figure out what you want to do in that area before you get there and print any reservation info before you go. This is fairly remote, which I loved!! Great hiking, and even saw a moose in the wild. Bring your food going in as you won't want to leave the cabin!!!
