Chestnut Farm cottage is in a secluded isolated setting in the most beautiful countryside of Daylesford. Country lanes and walks on your doorstep. Autumn is the most beautiful time of the year to enjoy Daylesford and surrounds. Chestnut Farm cottage is located just a 3 minute drive from Daylesford's Main Street. It has'Country Chic' interiors providing luxurious accommodation for smaller group bookings. The cottage is self-contained with private entrance and off street parking. Set in a beautiful sprawling garden with expansive lawns and Chestnut trees.
Our main house is located behind the cottage. A large storeroom separates the 2 dwellings so complete privacy and quietness is assured. The cottage has its own garden area, porch and driveway. Guests are most welcome to enjoy all parts of the garden.
There are 2 spacious bedrooms, cosy lounge with wood fire, new bathroom and small kitchenette. The bathroom can be en-suited from main bedroom or accessed from hallway if 2 bedrooms are being used. The modern bathroom has underfloor tile heating and large walk in shower. For those who wish to soak in a spa bath the Historic Hepburn bathhouse is just a short drive away.
All beds have quality linen and electric blankets.
The kitchenette is small but adequate for simple meal preparation. There is a microwave, electric hot plate, electric frypan and bar fridge. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO OVEN ... hooded barbecue is ideal for cooking and roasting. Tin foil trays are included. A continental breakfast is provided for guests for the first morning. There is a selection of cereals, bread, spreads, yogurt, and milk. Teas and coffee are provided.
Of special interest are the amazing sunsets, clear star studded skies and country walks. We are happy to help guests plan daily activities as we have a rich knowledge of the area.
Our beautiful cottage is an ideal escape for couples, girls weekend groups, single people wanting some time to relax in a safe and private setting and small family groups. We can offer very good discounts for longer stays.
All wood and kindling is provided for the Ned Kelly wood fire. On colder days the fire will be lit for your arrival.
Chestnut Farm cottage has a private front porch area with seating and table for casual dining and a place to relax.
Daylesford Sunday market and Farmers Arms Hotel is a 15 minute walk away and Daylesford's Main Street is a few minutes away by car. It's the perfect get away if you are seeking a country escape that is peaceful and private with all that Daylesford has to offer.
