Ich freue mich auf meinen nächsten Besuch.

Es gibt ein super Frühstück und das Restaurant ist hervorragend. Man sollte unbedingt das Tasting Menu probieren. Wer gerne Wein trinkt, auch mit Weinbegleitung. Tolles Ambiente und ein hervorragender, persönlicher Service.

In meinem Zimmer hätte ich mir ein paar zusätzliche Steckdosen gewünscht. Das Team vom Summerhill Guest Estate konnte mir jedoch helfen.

Despite my comments above, I enjoyed my stay at Summerhill, and will definitely book it again.

Summerhill was a great place to stay. It is very upmarket, but at the same time very friendly. It is beautifully appointed, and the bed and linen was in my room was superb. The staff were friendly and efficient. The location was also very good - not too far for me to travel to the office. The cuisine was also very upmarket, and very tasty.

I would have expected an establishment like Summerhill to have a generator for load-shdding, or at least some kind of eps to keep the wifi going during loadshedding. On my first morning, at breakfast, my omelette was brought to my table promptly, but then got cold while I waited for my toast.

Lovely place, awesome food, magnificent service.

The location was superb for our needs. The service was outstanding and the meals were superb, worth of every positive review afforded to the Living Room and Summerhill. We were well and truly looked after in every sense of the word from arrival to departure. I wish we could have stayed longer!

The room was in need of a little care. Some simple maintenance issues would resolve these minor issues. None of these affected our stay in any way but did cause some aesthetic displeasure.

Perfect for delayed valentine's celebration

Family run accommodation and restaurant, with friendly and welcoming staff. Had dinner off al a carte menu which included a delightful welcome platter of tasters. Cosy vibe with Master Chef quality food and wines. Thatched rooms cool and comfortable even without aircon. Loved the breakfast platter.

Everything about this place is great. Great energy, fantastic host. Food is amazing, both dinner and breakfast. Probably one of the best places I have stayed at in South Africa.

That I never got the better room than my technician. His room was next level. Not that there was anything wrong with mine. He just had the better view.

What an amazing place! Beautiful location, the nicest people (special thanks to host Johanna!), and the food was incredible. We decided to stay an extra night and had a great time. 2 times the tasting menu ;-)

Such a disappointment

The breakfast was good.

There was no water in the shower! I had to end up washing in the basin. No hot water in the basin. The tiles in the bathroom are old and cracked and shabby.

Summerhill GH experience

When I was there I went to a wedding in one of the townships and my phone got stolen. The guesthouse was so supportive and made sure that got the resources needed to sort out myself without my phone.
