Une très belle adresse

Une adresse exceptionnelle car l'accueil est au delà de nos espérances. On est accueillis comme des amis. Le jardin est magnifique, les chambres donnent sur le jardin avec un petit patio devant. Il y a une petite piscine. La salle à manger ainsi que le salon est très agréable mais surtout l'ambiance que mettent Jenny et Gavin, les hôtes. Le dîner est excellent et convivial car on peut le prendre seul ou avec les hôtes ou d'autres clients. Possibilité de safari et pêche en haute mer.

la chambre pour 4 manque un peu d'espace mais les lits sont très confortables.

Excellent host family! Thanks, Jenny & Gavin.

Gavin and Jenny were truly excellent hosts and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Thank you so much. My wife really enjoyed Jenny's lovely garden and the kids got to play with the cute cats. Dinner in the quiet, relaxed dining room was also excellent, and it far exceeded our expectations. We will certainly visit here again.

Nothing in particular, but it is a bit far from the centre of St. Lucia (20-30 mins drive). This made our stay at the estate quiet and calm.

Excellent guesthouse in Riverview

The staff were very friendly, I was running late for check in due to a delayed flight, I called to request crockery and cutlery to be placed in my room. Upon my arrival they placed crockery and cutlery as requested. The room was spacious, clean and well laid out. The breakfast wad a variety of options and was very tasty. I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.

It was great!

Me and my family had an amazing stay at Wendy’s Country Lodge! The property is so lovely with an amazing beautiful garden and a cool lounge with the bar area. Our two rooms apartment was clean, spotless, tastefully decorated and has a terrace for chillout. The breakfast was very good and the 3 dishes beautifully cooked and tasty dinner was also excellent. We strongly recommend to take that options. As you can see the cottage is located in 15 min driving from Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park. You don't need to look for the rangers because Gavin and his wife Jenna (the property owners) are very good qualified rangers and has a special safari jeep. They know all best spots and the locations, so you will not be disappointed, just believe us. Also I would like to say that if you are looking for the experience of true South African hospitality and friendship - you have to choose this place and stay here. The cottage team makes their best. Thank you Gavin, Jenny, Daniel, Rozalinda and your staff for a wonderful stay. We will keep in touch!

Wonderful place, peaceful atmosphere in a luxurious garden. All the staff is very friendly and doing his best to make you feel at home. I definitely recommend you this lodge if you plan a visit in Hluhluwe iMfolozi or Santa Lucia !

True 10 out of 10!

Not exaggerating: This truly was the best accommodation of our whole holiday, in every perspective. Nice and spacy rooms with comfy beds, beautiful garden with outside pool, great common areas like living room and bar to meet with other people and fantastic dinner. But most importantly the hospitality of the owners, Jenny and Gavin, was absolutely amazing. They took us in like we were part of their family. They are taking very good care of their guests, preparing the perfect meals even taking into account any complicated allergies, sharing their stories and we had a lot of fun together. I would recommend Wendy’s country lodge to everybody coming to South Africa and this will be the first place I book when I’m visiting South Africa again. Jenny and Gavin, thanks so much for everything, hope to see you again soon!

We had an amazing stay at Wendy’s Country lodge! Rooms are clean, good breakfast and excellent dinner options! Especially the hosts are so lovely. We also loved the tour to Hluhluwe with Gavin!

Fantastic stay hosted by a wonderful family ably supported by efficient and courteous staff.

Sometimes when you book a place at short notice you are happy to take what you can get in terms of accommodation but this time we really lucked out and found a place we hope to return to time and again!!From the moment we arrived nothing was too difficult for the hosts and staff at Wendy’s. Staff directed us to reception and offered to take our cases for us. Check-in was a breeze. The room we were given was spacious and comfortable and had just what we needed to help us start relaxing after our journey. Refreshed we adjourned to the well-stocked bar in the evening and the hosts could not have been friendlier. Gathered together with the other guests we shared past experiences and stories just like being at a family reunion. On to a beautifully cooked, tasty and reasonably priced dinner where the same vibe continued. Every night with each new group of guests was the same. Truly lovely. Wanting to be up and about early we requested a packed lunch. Again this was no problem for Wendy’s. We were sent on our way with a hearty brunch ready packed for us. The one morning we had breakfast a Wendy’s we first had a lovely fruit platter followed by a full English breakfast cooked as we wanted it. The grounds and the garden surrounding the lodge are beautiful and a true reflection of the amount of work and time that has been invested in them over the years. From a “tropical” section, to formal gardens and then a manicured lawn area with seating all lovely and all well cared for. The hosts, both of whom are qualified rangers, are so knowledgeable about the local region that they were able to advise and direct us to what we wanted to achieve and do leading to a successful and rewarding day out. I would say that if you are coming from overseas and want to experience true South African hospitality this is the place to stay. We were greeted with a smile and left with bigger smiles of our own. Thank you Jenny and Gavin, your family and your staff for a wonderful break.

It's very difficult to find anything negative to say. The weather could be a little warmer but that's not really under Wendy's control :)

Would highly recommend this place to travellers.

The place far exceeded our expectations. The rooms are beautifully decorated and styled. Well thought of design and layout. Lots of antiques. gardens meticulous and well manicured. Very friendly staff and the host was extremely welcoming and friendly. Lovely 3 course dinner. teas and coffees in the room and extra blankets for the cold weather. The place was most convenient for us as this was a half way place to Hlabisa.

A bit slow with brekkie. Long wait for staff to appear to request additional stuff at the table. The food was great though.

Great place for a tired business traveler as well as a holiday maker

Breakfast was great. Nice and quiet place. Really exceeded my expectations Great host and hostess (naked chef)😂👍🏾 I’ll definitely tell my friends about it. Real value for money

At breakfast, please at least offer a variety of choices on cereals. I hate Mousley Otherwise everything was perfect and it’s the first time I right something like this on hospitality establishment. Lovely well kept garden too.
