Disappointing for the price

Arrived to find I had to pay a $200 bond because I only had a debit card & not a credit card. Staff said it’s part of the terms and conditions, but I couldn’t find mention of that in any emails. I explained that I needed that $200 for our time in Tauranga but they didn’t care and asked if I had a computer that they could hold till we checked out. There was definitely no mention of this and the surprise of it really shocked me. They had a sign saying bikes to hire but there were none. There was massive construction happening too which we were only notified about a day before going up. There was no tv remote so we had to go to the tv to change the channels/volume. Also no milk in the fridge. Beds weren’t made. Seems very picky but when your paying $480 per night I expected more. Overall very poor for $480 per night!!

Excellent staff, perfect location, overall happy ☺️

Close to beach and shopping mall.

Not much room in the showers for dressing and keeping belongings dry while showering. Also not having a locked main door for privacy. It was all opened to public.

Our stay was amazing, the facilities are first class & the staff treat you like family.

Our cabin was right by the beach, it was absolutely exquisite ! So was the view 😊 The cabin has high end design & is lavish. It’s by far the best place we have ever stayed in, needless to say that we’ll be back 😉

I booked this location for a professional lecturer, she loved the premises and her room but was disappointed the room was not heated and she couldn’t get the heat pump going so she snuggled up in the blankets.

A lovely holiday park with wild erful views.

Amazing sea view from our Family Room. Roomy, warm and well equipped.

There were no electric blankets, as stated in the booking.com list of Room Facilities. We were charged $3 more than the tariff stated (which included taxes and charges) on our booking.com confirmation email.

Lovely villa on the beach!

The best part was that we were on a hill overlooking the beach! We had our own deck and some green space with a picnic table (to share with other guests). A short walk took us down to the beach. Our room was spacious, clean, and modern. The bathroom was large with a shower, spa tub, and large vanity and mirror. The lighting was good.

There was no place to set our suitcases except on the floor! There could have been more horizontal space to set our belongings and perhaps a dresser to store clothes.

All BBQ gas bottles were empty on the Friday night (last night of our stay) so we had to throw out $50 worth of food then go and buy takeaways.
